Hey man, I ran through this page, and noticed that you're starting to work out some of that "stiffness" that you were complaining about awhile back... (Great work for one or two weeks of it!) One thing I did notice though, is that your pencil drawings almost always suffer from it more than your ink ones... I reckon that's something to think on for a bit. How do you translate the looseness (not just of gesture but also of pose) between media?

That zombie is awesome! You always inspire man!

Later.

hey dude, looks like you're being pretty productive yourself. do you ever use color in your sketchbook? might give you a chance to use warm/cool setups to push form even more. regardless, keep doing what you're doing!

Luis my man! I must confess that you caught me a little off guard with this last life drawing! I've learned to expect a certain quality from you, but this is so much better! I admire your ability to understand and apply crits to your works, i can see that you improve each time people crit!

Keep rocking my friend!

Atta boy! These updates just get better and better, Max. It's so cool to see all of the progression you've made. Ever since you attended that workshop you've been growing leaps and bounds beyond where you were before and it's a delight to see. I especially love the pencil work and how you're handling light nowadays. Very beautiful stuff. I agree with KingCoyote's crit too about the stiffness, it's definately gotten ALOT better. But I think you could affort to loosen up even more and loose some of the planar qualities in your work, like in the noses of your portraits and stuff. But take your time. I know how relying on that stuff helps build knowledge and understanding. Your work is very solid! I can't wait to see where you go next! Are you making a decent living at this recently? Take it easy, bro.

Carnifex: he he good idea my friend, keep on churning out the
drawings that the only way to do it, Im always glad to read
your posts man, thanks for droping around!

Slash:Yes Sr!! Ill keep on working hard, yep some times a critic can
be really enlighting, thanks for the props Im glad I can still
surprice people, than mean at least to me that Im moving UP
lets hope I keep doing this way!!

ZebzFree: BRO!! hows life you are an arts graduate now many props to ya!!
thanks for the comments and suggestions Im working on this planar to
soft transicion and getting loosee and mantaing proporcions is dam hard,
but I do think Im doing a bit better, not quite there but getting closer!!

Inkfish: thanks man, I hope I get the space, but I still need at
least 5 finished painting and I only have two, still a long way to go,
thanks for the props!!

dCepT: well let me know your opinions the shirt will not be plain white
ill have a special desing Im cooking up, there will be taoots on some
areas amd some graphic elements on the background

mentler: Thanks a lot my friend!! Im really happy to read you liked the
cloths as their are dificult like hell see ya later master menter!!

rodrigo!: Will do man, will do, and yep its my fav page of the moth too

Jens:Welll....let me see in acrilics all dries up veyr fast so I used to
way till some are was completly dryed up and then I used to add
glasses over the area, since in oils stuff takes so much time to
dry Im working wet over wet most of the times, and because
of this theres time were all becomes to smudgy to keep on working
then I have to wait for at least a day to keep on correcting and
adding details to the pic, that to me is the most dificult thing to
do, working wet over wet can be a bit chaotic for me, other than
that the colors are a delight to work with and blending colors is
a walk on the park (as oposed on acrilics ) Im using Zorn´s
limited pallet with prusian blue and horrible hansa yellow cause
I cant find any cadmium yellow in my dam city.
Thanks a lot for the props man, I mean a LOT to me, make the jump
as soon as you can now that I started I dont even wanna think about
going back to acrilics KEEP that pencil moving my friend, I hope
you doing good in Belgium, much love to ya!!

Ok some more work on this oil thing, not quite there but I belive that
by the end of the next week ill be done with it, man do Im having fun
and learning with this, its dam hard, but so much FUN at the same time!!
and some pencils I did in betewen errands

WIP ( bw takeing a good photo on a wet oil painting is very hard )

on the big head in the rigth side the line work was made from
life and the rendering was made from my head

just doodling the night away right before going to bed

made on the bus, except the dog ofcourse

Awesome stuff, cabron! I'm guessing the hand closest to us isn't finished.. 'cuz the light on it seems very very harsh compared to the light falling on the face of the dude...

Love the inky doodles as always

honestly cant think of much else to say about the painting other than i like it, great emotion and energy..
it feels a little muddy and dark in some places like the foreshortened forearm (on our right) could be separated more from the upper arm, and maybe the hands could be improved (looks damn hard though)
but overall good stuff man!1!

rodrigo!: Im in the process of tightning up the face hands and other

hurricane: Yep that would be so cool man, oil are the shizzle,
