quite nice stuff but I have one advice for ya: Put the cubes and cylinders back to where you found them and get out some bones and muscles. Dont get me wrong, this basic shapes can be really useful but only if you have a good base of anatomical knowledge. I already saw some nice bone-studies in your thread but stick more to it.
    Good luck,dude!

Great studies here, I agree work from the bones to the muscles. It has really helped me to start with the skeleton, then add muscles around it, and then put it all together. You had some great skull studies earlier try some bone hand studies

Gmags, you´re hand studies are coming along nicely.
Hm, I must say I slightly disagree with Gloom and Brent (no pun intended guys ). Or maybe I just misunderstood them. Let me put it this way: if you can´t draw a cube, chances are you can´t draw the pelvis. I think practise of basic forms is very important. That doesn´t mean of course, that you shouldn´t work on the bones. Keep going.

    Hi...nice drawing studies man..
I Liked the cobian and manson sketches... and that vader sketch is awesome too...
one thing that I liked is that you are using circles/circular-shapes to improve your control over line quality...
keep studying man.. they always pay off

Mehran - Yes, drawing lots of circles really helps alot. I have a small sketch book dedicated entirely to circles.

    Recursive - Thanx for lookin.

Taxman - I also think that getting your basic shapes down really helps you to draw better.

BrentM - I'll be putting up more bone studies for you to critique.

Gloominati - Thanks for your comments. I wish I started at your age.

    Stay tuned for more stuff.

Hey man, thanks for checking out my sb. Thought I'd have a look at yours. Nice stuff but I'd like to see what more you're capable of. Like seets said, find a happy medium between ref work and imagination. You'll grow tons. Oh, and the How to Draw Comics The Marvel Way is a great book for learning basic anatomy. I got it as a gift when I was 13 and I loved it. Keep posting man.

Good variety of stuff here. Lots of good studies, stuff from ref, realistic and not. You did get a little scribbly on a couple of them, and some of them seem to have gotten a little distorted. To help with the destortion I think you should just keep doing your perspective studies on the side, and also try to think about how perspective effects your subject when your drawing other stuff.

Hey guys back with some stuff. Sorry bout the delay, had one of those damn artist block for awhile.
Kitsu - I'm slowly learning this perspective stuff. It's so hard it makes my brain hurt.
MrBobMarley - Yes I agree that I should put up more stuff from my imagination. Sometimes what comes out is total crap.
Seets - I'll try mixing it up as I go along.

1.Here is some stuff I drew at work(OPPS!!!), I mean at home.
2.Here is an old fav of mine I did in the wee hours of the night at work some time ago.
3.And finally some stuff I did for the kids at my job awhile back.

Well that's it for now. Stay tuned for more sketches soon. Later.

The last sketch looks very good, but it looks like it has been ruined by smudgage. Try buying some cheap hair spray and putting a fine mist over your work when its done. This should keep stuff from moving/transferring.

What's dudes I'm back with more sketches for ya.

Kitsu - Yes. That sketch got smudge real bad so I had to buy some fixative spray to try and preserve it.

Orozco - Still working on those DBZ sketches for ya. Stay tuned.

Prophet - Thank for checking out my stuff. I will be churning out more.

Janus - anatomy is really hard and I feel I'm improving so slowly.

1.Here is an attempt at Quon from the Rahxephon anime series. Lot of mistakes.
    2.some feet sketches.
3.And finally some face studies from ref.

will be back with some more real soon. Stay tuned.

here's a tip for you. use it when you're sketching. it'll help you out a lot.

don't use scribbly lines to describe what one well placed line could. it will tighten up your looser sketches, and your stroke economy will be a lot better.

    keep pluggin'

Hey man, there's lots of progress since the last time I visited. Your lines are a lot stronger and the forms are coming out as well. Keep pushing the studies and draw more from life! Other people, yourself, whatever. Just keep doing what you're doing man! Cheers!

Man you got some really nice stuff going on here. Your doing exactly what I need to be doing dude, drawing hands, hands and more hands. repitition is really important, so you can develop your mind and eye to work together. Looking at a lot of your drawing, especially the magneto, one I can already tell you have an eye for seeing. I really see vast improvements from the beginning to now man. Keep em coming.

Hey dudes back with more stuff for ya.

Sabe2003 - Thanx so much dude.

Zord - I'm starting push the lines more now. But feel like I'm progressing very slowly.

Darktwin - Yes, I agree repetition is the key. Just keep drawing those hand till they fall off.

1.Here is a sketch I did of that lovable saiyan Gohan. But he is pissed right now.
    2.Some superhero sketches.
    3.Finally, some more hand sketches.

    Hey!

Great to see such progress in your hand studies. The first few alone show improvement. I would suggest you keep up the studies alone for right now, get a lot of confidence behind your hand and pencil and then start to tackle more. With the progress you made in the first few, I'm sure youd gaind a lot quite quickly.

Also, the skull studies had some great form and shading (for a study). The only weakness I would point out (at your current level) would be the contour. So once again, build up the contour studies, dont worry about shade for now, get used to recognizing shapes and building them up, then start to implement blocks of shade and then eventually smooth rendered shade.

    Cheers!

Some great stuff here, I especially like the Wolverine and Magneto (BTW- who signed that?)
I think you should really work on your faces and portrait-artist.org is really good, helped me out a lot on drawing real life faces and what not. Also drawing from life always helps.
