Your life drawings are your best stuff. Keep building from a foundation of good refference untill you have enough visual vocabulary to make stuff up. I'm not telling you not to draw from your head, just recognize that drawing from your imagination is how you will develope imaginative ideas and concepts, drawing from life is how you will develope accuracy.
    Good stuff, keep it up.

Lots of solid drawing and painting here. The picture with the smoking in is very cool, really has alot of mood/charector.

Keep up experimenting with different colours, thats the beauty of digital, total freedom. The green and yellow charector near the top really works.

Keep it up, your way ahead, inspiring.

Ive got much arthomework to do too but right ow im too sleepy to be productive hehe, that piece is great, I guess i couldnt do that.

To answer your question, I moved to cambridge 4 or 5 months ago to visit the CATs college there and do my A and A2 Levels in: Graphic art, fine art, media studies and theatre studies. Im currently working hard on my art skills and hope to improve more soon, yeah I have some sketchbooks and Im actually planning to upload some of MY crap soon

And now im hanging out here daily cause I fell in love with CA, since I was small I loved concept art and all that around

thanks erone- yup im the guy in the back with the hat..

umm yeah after looking at "the art of hellboy" i felt like doing something comiclike.. playing around with ink soo i started off with this thumb:

then i made this from it(you can see how i got confused on my way down)

and finally I focused on the poses and characters themselves:

i felt good about that one...

not as happy aobut this one

sadly i havent done the detailed version of the third guy which is in my opinion the worst.

Hey Krakel.. Sorry I don't come here that oftn... School eats my brain and I try to spend the rest of my time into drawing.
Great process and it looks like you have fun and patience while developping things. Thats great.
However I'd like to see more colorwork from you because your drawingskills are way better than your colorskills. Work on that, if you got the guts to do so

    hey!

I really enjoy how you always try out different stuff, thats the right way to go and vital for your own development (well thats what my graphic art teacher usually tells me

Hmmm thus i dont know what vector life drawing means, i like it the most, appears very sophisticated to me. Just keep going you definatly have good skills when it come to know what looks good .

Dont get upset about the few posts, thats just because you dont update regular enough to be on the front page or to have the stars, however i know you have the skill to be

Great update, keep it coming Krakel!

Thanks Anjo! - Not sure if you know the difference between vector and pixel graphics.. But that could be your problem- what i meant was: The image shown was drawn from life, using a vector program...

    Heres a small update ..

A very fun and diverse SB. Nice one! ^_^

This one made me lol: http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/3292/kopfk0zm.jpg
I also like this one: http://img351.imageshack.us/img351/7530/triple13dc.jpg

Yeah, I didn't like my High School Art teacher either, which is one of the reasons why I left and went to college. Best decision made so far; it's sooo much better in college - very free and independant.

I agree with Permerga: it's evident that your confidence is rising from all the drawing. Keep it up!

Some of the new stuff you posted looks cool. You are progressing fast. I want to see more .
The only thing I don't like that much is the last vector illustration. (I did many vector illustrations some time ago and never liked the look of vectorart anyway so I guess its a matter of taste.) The flowers in it look great though.
