Hey fish,
Your recent updates are looking great. Did you use charcoal in the last ones? Your rendering has such a smooth flow to it, with well-placed sharpness through out that balances things.
Keep on updating, dude.!
That number 3 guy (One you've posted after my last post) is something that I think you should work more on. It's got a really good mood. Only thing that bothers me on that piece is his right shoulder, it's a bit off. Keep posting man. I will keep following your thread.
placeboast thanks for the crit, it was kinda quick anatomy study an i lost intrest in it rather fast.. :/ prolly should fix it though.
lukavi thanks for the kind words it meand a lot to me, since your thread is one of my favourite sb-threads in here.
I only used pencils and graphite in those (smudged the hell out of it though)
some stuff from today.

Tere tulemast! Glad to see the place packing with finns
That skeleton warrior is really great and post some more of those anatomy studies aswellOnly thing i might critique is that the eyes on some of your portraits seems to be a bit too large or alittle "misplaced"
Lovely work
Keep it up !
Uuh. First peek to your sketchbook man. Nice variety on stuff. Pencils, inks and digital colors. And everything look very good. I wonder have you learnt all by yourself or do you go to any artschool here in Finland.
Keep your thread up. Cheers!
You'v got some wierd creatures there, 'bro. (lots of creature art in CA. I wonder why?) I like 'em. Especially hte "!" -thing. You're pencil work seems promising... keep it up!
Nice work man... I like a lot of your stuff!
Are you hiding or something? Where are the updates? Well I guess they just don't let you use the scanner very frequently in that mental hospital that you are living in. (It would explain a lot of your drawings)
thanks for the replies, i'll comment tomorrow, it's really late and i have work tomorrow.
finally something to put up here, i've been doing a lot (ok, some) traditional work lately, and haven't bothered to scan them yet.
lovely fishman. (now with bonus vaginal mouth)
speedy from today, quite happy with it, mostly because of characters spot on crits.
this thing happened today, don't ask why...
and it morphede in to this.
thanks for checking this thread out!
Aether Hey, thanks for stopping by! some of the eyes are indeed all over the place. Need to measure more.
Maknien Hi! yea, i learnt most of the stuff myself. Altough i recently started my atelier here in Helsinki.
Paarma Thanks man, will do!
renaissancekid Thanks
Placeboast haha thanks manyea, more or less it's my lazy ass that can't be bothered to open the lid.(or ask the head nurse for permission...)
here is some digital stuff i churned today both of them took about 3 horus to complete. Painter and PS
haha anatomy shmanatomy...
i like this one more, kissable lips
i think i'll haul my tired ass to bed now.
dammit, you're gonna give me nightmares. Well, I guess none of this new stuff is quite as creepy as that armless legless dude...but still.
think the last couple pics could stand to have some more contrast.
The last pic of your update is really nice. Love the plastic sheen on his helmet, and the organic bit at the front.
Been most impressed by your medievil armour pieces. You seem to have a gift for making them look fuctional and cool. Not as easy as it sounds.
More please![]()
hey Inkfish. this is a nice sketchbook. i like your still lives and your anatomy studies, but i think you need to keep practicing with your painting skills. also, with the colored peices, try working with various light sources to give your creatures a suitable atmosphere. most of them seem rather incomplete, like their missing some sort of impression about them that would bring them the character their looks simply demand them to have. Keep working.
Woodruff
Azeira Thanks for stopping by. I'm rather new in this digital painting stuff (or working with color for that matter) so i'm glad to have some tips in improving.
Mull77 thanks! i'll try to update whenever i have some stuff worth showing.
max1975 hehe, you are right about the contrast, it something i'm almost never happy about in my stuff. thanks for looking.

More good stuff. Looks slightly off-balance, maybe some small indication of the legs below the knees would help with that. Also the yellow's not working for me, but I'm not sure why.
I crack up everytime I see Placeboast's comment a few posts back![]()
Really fantastic stuff, i Like your Paintings very much.
Pin More!!!!!!!!!!!

Colors on #1 are kinda out there, not working so well in my opinion. I love #3, that really pops out. But it maybe looks too dragonish. #2 is most waterlopey.
max1975 yea it looks kinda trippy i guessit was the 1st one i did, i guess i learned along the way. Thanks for commenting.
