    Thank you all very much!!!
I'm trying hard to make things different. Here is an attempt at scenery. I was an environment of a city, decades after an earthquake.
I needs lots of help of enviros. So don't pull any punches.

Decades after earthquake? Yeah, all signs of sudden impact is gone mostly. Everything is soothing and softened and wild I have to add, but not in the aggressive way. I like this feeling of small slow patient changes in the nature, step by step, inch by inch, persistently. I think you chose this curvy, delicate manner on purpose, I have this association with nature stealthily pulling everything to a different direction from your lines, they are very fine and soft.

Hey man I'm not seeing the city in this. The only indicator for it having been something modern is the telephone pole. It does feel like what ever happened was in the past and the erosion of the road and the overgrowth works well. I'm not very good at enviros either but what I've seen that works well is using a wider shot of the scene.

    Keep at it.

Orozc0 - I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not! hahah

Julien - Thanks, pal! It's definately not easy for me. But I am going to keep trying hard

Hurricane - *blush* thanks, man. That means alot to me!!! I assume you'll be in Montreal?

sve - Thanks alot! Hehehe. I wish I could have conveyed what i wanted more, though. Without an explanation, I think it may look like just a bunch of jumbled up lines. Gotta start trying soem EOWs.

Bengonzalez - Yeah, I really did'nt do well at what i was going for, hey? Those guys who can hammer out enviros all the time are gods!!

Min - Thanks a bunch, buddy. I saw your new sketch book pages, and I'm loving them. All the hand,s wow!!! I'd love to trade!! Come to the workshop, please?

Some ideas for the this week's EOW in thumbnails...
But I started thinking of another character to go along with the last few I've posted. I wanted a manlier villain. I don't find androgenous guys too scary when they do alot of physical fighting.. But.. I tried adding a bit of scenery. I may go ahead and paint this one

Tried playing with color a bit, because I don't do it very much. Maybe I'll do a full picture with him. At this point he kind of looks like Bruce Lee, haha

Ah color. Skin is one of those things that is so hard to paint. for a quick paint I say not bad. I like how you established some of the highlights and shadows in it. All that you need to do now is clean it up.

I dig your style, Interceptor. Especially like how you're modeling the faces on your women. And the costume rendering is cool. Liking the unfinished look as well.

I'm really impressed with the way that your people always have very tangible expressions on their faces... It adds a lot to your stuff, ya know? Oh, and I downloaded your avatar as a screen saver for my cell-phone. Can't wait to meet ya and do some sketching up in montreal!

    Hey Interceptor!
Really cool work, love the girl in the mask, hatching on the face looks awesome, think I see some of wes' influence in there.
The chow looks good so far, the composition and expression are very strong, involving. Design-wise I feel the character is a bit plain, could be taken further.
Im curious where you go with it, keep it up!

sweet, now i feel shes gonna eat me alive
like the lil details on the armor and her arm, the people she killed? or the times she died? :p
Lookin at most of ur characters, plain backgrounds.. if u just darken it abit, or big strokes just to make a scene. would make it more intresting, and also would make it POP out.

    Great stuff man. Kickin.
kant wait seein u till montreal workshop

Hot, hot pencils! I see you've been going grungier as opposed to the tight/clean pencils I've seen from you. Both are good. Hope to see more from you!

guggenmanuever thank you for the kidn words, joel! I feel bad enough bringing my sketchbook to the workshrop though, now I know you're gonna be there, eek!

SireGreenSock yeah. I feel bad about that. I wanted to just start practicing values, and I guess I've seen so much of Wes' work that I'm beginning to emulate the way he does things. I'd had to grow to be a "Wes9000 wannabe" Thank you for your comments, friend

HEROIC Yes. Backgrounds give me the willies. It's something I obviously need to try harder at. I should start entering the EOWs
    See you in Montreal! CHEERS!!

lukavi *bluhs* Hey man! Thanks alot. That's very inspiring coming from mr. Character of the Week himself.. Now all I have to do is start finishing some work

Julien hey man! I did get your e-mail! And I am looking forward to seeing your advice for me. I always love getting helpful hints from my favorite French artist. I hope you're settled in nicelt to your new place. When we meet, I owe you a couple of beers, friend.!!

GrinGoLoCo Hey! Thanks! I'm drawing my heart away with the workshop coming up. And working on a few projects as well. Don't worry about the clean lines, they're not going anywhere. I still very much prefer using them for completed character works. I'll post one by Friday, hopefully

AND HERE IS THE NEW STUFF

    Sketch for cohesion CHOW topic.

hey those are amazing. i love your style it looks coarse and smooth at the same time. how did you learn to draw your faces that way. im currently having difficulties with them and wondering if you can point me in a direction in away to draw them better.

Finally got back into the groove of things. I had a rough week where nothing would come out. But after going through sone_one and Lono's sketchbooks I "got my groove back". The thumbnails are things I'm trying to think of for my thuderdome against danomight, badger and bumskee.

AshesToAshes - I PM'd you. Hope it helped
GrinGoLoCo - That would be really boss if you can come. I look forward to meeting you, bro.
