Loving it nothing negative from my eyes. I love the way you did it monotone, it sets it own mood.
Hows it going?
Wow. Cool concepts! You have a really unique style and design sense. I dig 'em! The style on the originals is really cool, too.

I like it.

Nice ones. Ain't that girl's sword a bit too much like the one from FFVII ?
As my artist's statement explains, my work is utterly incomprehensible and is therefore full of deep significance.
- Bill Watterson, Calvin and Hobbes cartoon strip
Giant swords are an oriental "fantasy" tradition, cause they did crafts some, but it take to much time, materials and training to use them(and it was to heavy for most soldiers), so for that matter they preffered the naginata ( a much cheaper, effective and easy to use weapon)Originally Posted by MrozekArt
But some people did train to use this weapons despite they were never popular, but to strike cavalry.
Most people ignore the fact that, tho this weapons are known as uneffective in this world, in a different world, with bigger beast (lets say 14 feet and more) they become efficient and even essential......
Sorry to wander off, i really like the redesign, is way cooler and it makes a wider range for the story you were planning.![]()
that figure to the far right of the first pic looks the strongest to me. only hing that kinda bugs m is that there is a lil yellow in that part and no where else in the pic. but it looks good so it makes me feel u should highlight some other parts in the pic like that.

cool beans to you...my friend.

I kinda like the originals better. They have the simplestic look to them that the modified ones dont have.
I never leave a post without a crit![]()
The standing females left foot+leg has some minor mistakes with proportion when compared to the right leg.
Thats it, nice concepts.
Thanks for the replies everyone.
ArlandoBattle: Yeah, I really took a shine to Marko's black & white work he posted recently, so I thought I'd give it a try. As for how's it going ... going pretty good. How about you?
Ray Dillon: Thanks Ray, I appreciate it.
Kon: The original designs were for an animated series pitch, so they have more of a little kid quality to them. The new designs are for a comic book so I could go a little darker and a little more adult.
modernprometheo: Thanks a lot. These three are becoming my favourite characters to work on.
tgfx: Thanks. You can see more at www.thebrett.com, although that site needs a good update.
MrozekArt: Yes. Yes it is.
Shamagim: Thanks for the explaination Sham ... I didn't know that weapons like that were actually used. Now instead of admitting that I shamelessly ripped off FF7 I'll just say what you said.
dadamafia: Actually it's funny you should mention that. When I flattened my photoshop file, I forgot to grayscale the "highlights" layer for that character. I didn't notice until way later, but then after looking at both the grey and yellow versions I decided I liked it this way.
Fl3wk: Yeah, I try not to compare the two versions just because they were geared for different realms of the pop art industry. I have a little flame for each of them.
Anyways, thanks again. I'll try and post some more here soon.
