Hey long time! Great female study you got going on there... I swear that looks like Sandee Westgate or Amy Reid... I love the digital works, your rendering of the skin tones are getting very realistic! But what I like the most is your loose sketches!

    Keep up the great work!

Placeboast - wow, its great seeing such a difference from five years ago!! Incredible improvement. I love your hand studies and figure sketches - and your strange creature designs, they are great. I used to do weird creature stuff all the time but kind of got out of the habit of it when i started doing this as a job!! (well, I mostly paint peoples pets and peoples portraits!).

great that the daggers are spreading fast! I shall also be watching in your journey to awesomeness!!

Gloominati Thanks man. I really like how the colored pencil feels o paper. I hate drawing with regular pencil nowadays.
    Krato Thank you very much.

Those anatomy studies are excellent, no critiques on my part. Your latest painting looks almost like a 3D render, you definitely nailed the lighting. Keep it up!

The last digital really looks like a rendering. Amazing work. Did you have a reference for the last face?

    Alexson Thanks so much friend.
cgaddict A big compliment there. Thank you.
Rushlord If I could do that without a ref I'd be staring myself in the mirror all day. No my unreferenced paintings are total shit. Thanks for popping by.

    One more value study.

Superb value studies, Mikko. So lovely and solid. Reference or no reference - do whatever works for you. It's not a contest, and there aren't strict rules about stuff like that. The reference route is working big time for you. My guess is that the more you do of that, the more it will inform your unreferenced work and that will improve as well.

Nice sketchbook, man. Those sketches and studies are amazing.

Try doing one from reference then getting rid of it and trying without ref. Might help!

Nickillus Thank you so much for the kind words. I know it's not a contest, but try to telling that to my retarded brain. My two hobbies today are drawing and stressing about drawing. Fun ain't it.
cl0aked Thanks for the suggestion. Haven't done that nearly enough. Too much ref work maybe.
raminafshari Damn your name is hard to spell. Thank you popping by.

One more value study. Won't do these fuckers for a while. My head hurts. Still not finished maybe.
