Glow Tool

Hi all I have this problem...When I use the glow brush it , well doesnt glow the color Im working on, it keeps washing out to white, I mean it "Glows" but the only color I can acheive is white, does anyone know why this is happening? I have watched Ryan Churches videos and it seems to work just fine for him, but maybe it something personal..Ha Ha...Any help would be greatly appreciated
And I m using version 8 on a mac

Hi,

It took me a few hours to remember where in the Painter community I saw it, but Feng gave us a tip a while back that should help. It's in this thread:

Painter 9 - Glow brush problems

Use the Search feature whenever you want to find some info. There's a lot of good stuff in just this forum alone. I found this thread by doing a search using the word glow and searing in the Painter forum.

thanks Jin...The problem I was having was exactly what Feng talked about, I didnt know you had to put your color selection on the lower (darkest) setting of the color you want thr tool to "glow" to...Very cool, I appreciate this.

Though Feng says we can find this info in the Painter documentation, I wasn't able to find it doing a search in Painter IX Help > Help Topics.
