Photoshop problem

A lot of times my brush won't show as a circle, and just shows as a cross type of thing. So you can't see the brush getting bigger or smaller. Why does this happen and what do you do to prevent it? I know, I've posted it in the Photoshop section aswell, but there is more traffic here.

I've experienced the same problem. I just save the file, close PS, and re-open it. It's kind of a lame solution but it works for me. I'm curious to see if anyone has a real solution.

Seriously, it's the Caps Lock. Try it. Open a blank canvas, hold your brush over it and turn on the Caps Lock. Then turn it off. Watch what happens.

Yeah, I totally thought Oregano had just ignored blog's question and was correcting his typing.

In addition to turning "Caps Lock" off while Photoshop is running, go to Photoshop Prefs-->"Display & Cursors". You can choose what your brush cursor will look like there.

Tip: if the brush size exceeds the screen size, the cursor will revert to the cross-hairs until you reduce the brush size.
