I'm on DSL, and the download time was head-beatingly slow.

I'd suggest right off the bat that you reduce your file size. It must be the size of Lyons.

It's too large, with too much painting in it.
That explains why it takes so long to load though.

You could have this all happen in a screen 1/2 the size. That would be that much less background rendering of elements, which is why your file is so large.

Besides that, though, I liked the story and the fighting animation, and the sailing ship.
