Hey everybody. I am working on my game design portfolio, and my art skills as a whole. If you wanna, you can tell me what you think about my work.

Oh, I love your art very much. It's beautiful. I enjoy it.

Thanks, Svetheart.![]()
The idea of this is like the Beavis and Butthead poem "I shall never see anything as stupid as a tree..."![]()

I agree with the need for life drawing. I feel a heavy graffiti/urban vibe going that usaully results in creating abstract shapes that give the idea of a form without actually showing the correct form... if you know what I mean. I'm a firm believer in learning the accurate/realistic way of portraying a thing before you start twisting and warping the thing. Ya know, learn the rules before you break the rules.
Keep posting... and I'll keep bitching!
"Baby, you make me wish I had three hands!"
Great imagination! Work on proportion and forshorting. post some life drawings if you can.
Thanks for the compliments everybody. I'd love to get some more life drawing going, maybe I'll sign up for a class at SCC. My buddy says that have a really top instructor.
This life scribbles are all a couple years old, maybe more.

Maybe you should try more copying/drawing from life. It's not fun but it's the only way you have a chance at learning.
I will sign up for a life drawing class next semester. Until then, as 'do more life drawing' has been 50% of the comments already. Until I take that class, please tell me something else!

Keep postin, keep not commentin. This is not a great relationship.![]()

Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. I'm not sure I totally understand your suggestion. Do you think you could come back and expand on what you mean, maybe even take my paper drawing and paintover to give me a better idea of what you're saying.
As far as your sb, your stuff looks really good. You have some really great female figures. I really think you could benefit from face studies. That seems to be one of the least refined areas of your work. Sit down with a friend or in front of a mirror and draw faces over and over from different angles. I agree some life drawing would probably do you some good.![]()
I really like your style.
My Sketchbook<-- Visit and make me feel bad for not sketching!
Some good work. You have to clarify all your principles - forms and modelling - with more life study. And it's not about taking a life drawing class (however important that is). It's much more working observationally and initially distrusting your imagination.
I like a lot of your linework. I second Listing, life study would help you out. You have some cool designs, but a lot of them read as flat, no 3d form to them. Heheh, I know you don't want that crit, but yeah, not the class, actually just go and draw stuff from life, like staplers, and chairs, or whatever. Are we still down for that creature trade? I think I may have been slacking on my end. How about we trade on wednsday?
You're an artist, not a meat camera. -Elwell
its fun!
Hey keep those Weird Creatures coming! Weirder the Better!!!![]()
