Hey all. Here's a new piece, nearly reading for molding. It's Chavant clay. About the size of a large house cat.

possibly one of the weirdest sculpts I've ever seen FREAKIN' Cool .
love the sinister grin .
The body looks amazing . are you going to put any fake fur on the cast?
I did a life sized cugar for a parade float a while back ,and airbrushed flock(yes really, not a type-o) on him.
it would be an interesting technique for you to try on him.

I love this piece. It is extremely original and well done. Great form, expression and detail. The folds in the skin look awsome. Well done.
Hey Tristan, do you know Evan Penny's work? He's got a show in NYC going up next week, you might want to check it out.

Tristan to Tristan. Nice
the caricature here is intense. That "GRIN!"
omg
Hey all you other Tristans and the others, thanks for the feeback.
6thSun, won't be adding fur, but will be casting it intrinsically colored to look like real flesh, with realistic looking eyeballs as well.
The body was modeled on the hairless sphynx cat anyway, so no fur. Also, the skin has a superfine texture anyway, though it's hard to tell with these pics.
can't wait to see the painted pic's the flesh color will make it even better you're right.
anyway .freaking awesome!!

It's ugly and freaky looking, but I like it. Definately one of those original takes on a myth creature. I'm not certain to how I'll react to realistic eyes, but I'm looking forward to it.

Okay... who is it? That's crazy creepy. Your forms and flesh folds are incredible. Love to see this painted up.
END
Thanks very much.
Goldmane, this won't be painted. It will ultimately be cast intrinsically pigmented polyester so that (hopefully) it will look like live tissue, even nose to nose, rather than painted resin.
