Fantasy pic in all its randomness WIP

Do these characters have any relation to each other? - they look a bit like they're waiting for a bus or something.

They also look like 5 separate layers stuck on the same background. There is no transition from one character to the next in a collage manner. The edges are too hard, with the overall color scheme too disjointed, to suggest they are even at the same Bus Stop (although I can envision the shelter wall behind them...lol!). The size/distance perspective makes this stretch out to the LH side (as viewed), else that dude is like, itsy-bitsy, teensy-weensy!

That's why you need to have some sort of Background Concept. Even if it is only a rough, some idea of the surroundings of these people, and the picture as a whole would do wonders for viewability.

the bg will be flames.. and the edges are hard now but ill smoothen them out later now i just did the colors quickly with the polygonal lassotool..

but u do have a good point about not interacting with each other.. i always seem to have to prob.. think i should work with less layers..

thx for the crits all.. but the psd file just crashed .. so ill have to work on it from a .jpg at 500x500... dont know if im gonna
