    The Demon, Princess.

Just flipping through old sketches and found my original idea for the thunderdome. The collar was going to say pricness. Than I found out that rendering fur was alot more difficult than I thought, and had to change my idea at the last minute.

One of my cats does that. It always reminds me of those "Take a Number" ticket dispensers...

You should go ahead, ink and color this in. It's a decent concept, with a fun take, and should turn out as a decent illy.

Try this tutorial for the fur...

    A non demon princess...

She has some obvious assymetry errors. I'm trying to work them out in Photosop. And Tiffany, Space has been cleared!!

The space between her eyes is scary. Not quite a fish, but not quite human, either.
Her eyebrows are too high, giving her a bit of a circus clown look.
The ridges from the bottom of her nose down to her lips splay outwards...I don't think I have ever seen that effect on a humanoid figure before...

The asymmetry of her left side being larger than her right is nothing compared to the bad facial anatomy...She's more the demon princess than the kitty with the "cattitude" of sticking her tongue out...

    hey Loren cool chick!
I am digging the drawing, but the coloring is just a bit overworked. I liked her hair when you first blocked in the color, adding in the shadows under her hair and hilights on the top, but not makeing it so chunky, and the same all over the place. Try to figure out where the light source is coming from.
her sleeves are also getting confuseing with the folds. use picture reference to see how the folds would work or just keep it a flat color, like your blocking. Maybe a pattern would look nice to give the sleeve some interest.
The face is working I think. But with color you are haveing a lot of problems.
when you color something think warm and cool.
Warm lights:red, orange, orange yellow... normal yellow is a neutral color it can either be warm or cool.
Cool colors: blue, green, purple is also a neutrel it cam either be a warm purple or a cool purple.
White is cool, so you don't just want to use white to a color to simulate light on an object, ad some yellowish orange.
And never in my opinion use black in the shadows, it always makes your colors look flat, not rich. Use a cool colors when the light is warm, and use warm colors when the light is cold, always opposites. like your girls sleeve it is a yellow color so you want to make the shadows purple mixeing it with the local color wich is your yellow.
Color is a complex thing, takes a longtime to learn I am always learning new things about how to use it.

    here is an example...

ok I'm fixing my mistake of the shadow color. I had yellow in my mind with your girls shirt but the color I used had more red in it, I didn't sample the same color on your girls shirt, So the shadows would be more green then a purplish blue. But you get the gist with opposite colors. It's tuff to get the harmony of colors working. I don't think I'm a natural at it, but i do know the principle, it's just another thing to apply, . Hope I didn't completely confuse you, lol!
But if you compare the purple shadow with my new green shadow you will notice that the green is in more harmony and settles better then the purple. the purple looks too muddy in the transition to the local color.

Looking good Mr Interceptor... You flatter me with the palette!

Poise talks much sense with the colouring comments...

Actually the space between her eyes is pretty right, however you've exagerated the bridge of her nose so it looks too wide. Bring that in with tone and it should look cool, and also at the corner of the eye where there's a little flat bit of skin... It's not always true, but a general rule is one eye width between the two. The assymetry seems to bother you, not me I have to say, but one way to escape that problem is to avoid drawing faces straight-on as much as possible. A slight turn cancels out symetry not working. Faces aren't symetrical, but sometimes they can look uncomfortable when you compensate for that. Also constantly flipping your drawing can help to see problems with balance, as it gives you a fresh perspective on it.

I'd say some more, but to quote Prince Charles, I'm knackered right now...
