Cool man. What sort of pencil are you using for these sketches? Are you going straight in with the heavy line or are you lightly building it up? I really like the floating beard face, it's got a nice line to it and it makes you believe there's some dimension to it. Explore that more, or even develop on some the earlier rendering techniques. Let's see you resolve of these alien things, as you have been doing in your life drawing. That's about it man keep up the good work! x

I like all your pencil and charcoal stuff, but the last monsters are awesome, like they would move, grow or transform into another position/figure! I think if you are drawing the lines so fast and NOT confident slow (like the humans before and after the monsters), you could achieve very well done drawings which will surprise yourself. I saw that in Lukias' drawing style. It looks like the pencil doesn't leave the paper many times and the details are LAYERED later by pushing the pencil harder on the paper. (If you don't know his stuff: the sketchbooks of him are linked in the pencil masters thread.)

ben: cheers, depend s on the drawing really. life drawing im more confident and just go in there with chunky lines. monsters and stuff i tend to build it up.

Update was some time ago, but anyway awesome sketchbook. I love your people sketches, that would be awesome to draw in bus but sadly roads here have impossible amount of holes :p That would be nice to see more

You make the lines look really buttery, I'm not sure if thats the colour of the pages or the flow and consistency of line. Also you capture life really well

thanks people. heres a couple quick ones. now i can find myself doing a sketch in under 30 seconds, it inevitably means a compromise on the drawing but it keeps me sane after 5 week atelier studies. more on my blog
