I love the squid! Very, very inspiring *starts sculpting a squid* (Whats wrong with the paintjob? I love that too!)
As for the army-suite.. So far, so good. But is it just a suite or is a human inside? 'Cus it looks pretty lifeless. And remember, when you are making somthing like that, always think "Hmm does that part have a function or is it unnessecary?" Because it is a "war-thing", so it has to be functional, right?
Just a li'l tip.
Cheers

Wow that squid is crazy. Very fluid - it looks quite animated even though we know it's frozen.
The soldier looks stiff by comparison. He looks like he is leaning on the armature. Try some posing, especially with the legs to make it appear like he is standing of his own accord. Balance is key - get into it and take on the same pose he has, if you fall backwards, then you know he couldn't possibly stand that way! I try to put myself in the pose a lot of the time.

you are totally right about the legs on the suite. but the armature is pretty stiff but i'm gonna try anyway.
And the squid, I'm thinking of sawing the head of and making another body, something a little more freaky!!![]()
Update 2!
made him a little bit bigger, and moved the leg a bit.
I think that the dinamic of the pose is taking away from your sculpt .a pose like your red alien would benefit the piece a great deal.Great job on the detail.
It's better to be remembered as the sand in the gears and not as the oil.![]()
the new pose with the gun is way more dynamic then first, good job.
he looks very confident with his shot hes about to take.

You're improving loads, from your first sculpts to this.. I take my hat off to yer.. and here's a ------> cyber beer! Your sculpts are looking better and more bad ass def-ee-nate-lee.
The squid is definitely quite amazing..no, kickass! Awesome job on that one. Id like to see some updates on the army suit. Looks pretty good, just a bit stiff in the previous pics. Hope you fix that because the detailing is really well done.![]()
