Some indian call centre just called me up, I live in Australia and his opening line was "G'Day Mate! ...blah blah"
...its like, they're evolving like in Romero's Land of he Dead.

Now how do you know it wasn't a man from India who recently moved to Australia?
Oh... and they really say that in Australia?
More than likely he's just a wise-ass at work like me and likes to mess with people.
"...its like, they're evolving like in Romero's Land of he Dead...."
You don't need "...its like..."
im in australia too. i never answer the home phone in the day cause if anyone needs to get to anyone in our family, they know were all out doing our respective things during that time, and so the only thing it could be is either a wrong number or a call centre.
yeah, all of them are indian. its a little funny, though i shouldnt be mean. a basic conversation will go like such:
me: "hello?"
indian rep: "................................................. ...................... hello?"
me: "yes, hello?"
indian rep: "................................................. ...................... hello?"
me: "..."
indian rep: "................................................. .................. hello yes, im looking for mr green is he home?"
me: "no." *CLICK*
mwahahaaa...
Doesn't Australia have any laws against rampant telemarketers?
I got indian telemarketers when I was in Canada too. But Canada has a good sized south asian community so I can't be sure.
They almost always catch me off guard....ie, right after my afternoon nap and before dinner.....when I'm most groggy.

There are 3 sides to every story. Yours, mine and THE TRUTH.
I got a call off an Indian telemarketer a while back - he said straight away: "Hi, my name's Stewart Smith" (or something suitably English-sounding) ... if that was his real name, I'll eat my hat.
This could be fun...
I like making them guess how many telemarketers called me today.
they're in india, its not like we're going to fly there and improson their ass.Originally Posted by Idiot Apathy

I heard we had something like that, but cant find any info on it. I wish I could send a hadouken fireball spinning bird kick down the phone line to the other end, that'll learn em.
That would never make it to india...

Probably won't work for India.
