Hey Mad Will! I think you have a good start, and when I saw "tryign to get better", I thought I would see if I could offer some advice. I'm still trying to perfect my craft aswell, and so I think we can all learn from each other. I feel you have a good start, like I said earlier, but I think something I see you could work on (atleast from the sketches) is that you should try to vary your line thickness and work on constructing the for of your figure. Build a frame for the objects you draw to develop that three dimensional quality in our 2D world of sketchbooks. Fredflickstone has some very well done tutorials on this in the Tips & Tuts forum. Keep posting dude, and I look forward to more of your stuff.

Those are nice studies man. Applying the principles of those studies to your pieces will make them better. Glad to have been of help. And don't worry so much about your english. It's all good. Take care.

Just keep up with those studies, do hands, faces, everything! And I think you've got potential. Keep it up.

Yo yo mad will, I see some good grounding skills that I'd recommend you really build on since the basics are the most important and i regularly drill them.

Let me present to you, an invaluable sourse, th pdf version of the Andrew Loomis book "Figure Drawing for all its Worth" - the physical edition went ot of print about 50 years ago, and 2nd hand copies sell for $130+ ...and its THE best book on the subject of learning the dynamics of the human form I've ever come across.

So much so that I am going to shell out a couple of hundred for a new perfect conditioned one, believe me go through this book, practice and do all the exercises and you will come out a better artist.

I now present to you, a tome from the best human form teacher to ever put his teachings on the typed page - its a 25mb download i believe:

Great job on the studies. I envy you your patience (I'm trying to get there myself). If there's one thing I noticed, it's that while the studies (especially the eyes and lips) are great, you don't seem to employ the same guidelines in your actual art. Now, don't get me wrong, I fail to do this most of the time besides basic anatomy guidelines myself, but it's something I've started paying attention to and you should, too. Everyone should. Keep posting!

    Red face Thanks Aremah

I like your job and i need practice too much for paint like you paint, my work don't give me time for pratice. The studies are important, when we understand we can do rigth, but we are wrong when not pratice the studies.
