WOW, TIFFANY!!!
Thank you for the elaborate explanation! That was a very helpful read. I will try out the tracing paper idea. That seems like it would make perfect sense and be very helpful for me. Thanks again!
Ditto...I'm gonna try that out too...Originally Posted by magicgoo

Ummm...awesome? This is some nice shit here.... Do you mind if I leave like, 2-3000 troops here? Do ya mind? Wouldn't want me getting drunk again, would ya?
I'll be around :p
I've been spending a lot of time in the sketcher program and here are some results:
Some idiot came in and deleted the layer this was on, but fortunately, I took a screen shot right before, and just added her hair in Painter.

Hey Magicgoo! I'm liking your sketchbook. I don't see you sticking to your plan of drawing more non-female characters, but any SB filled with lovely ladies is okay by me! Maybe you can add to that goal drawing different femal body types. People tend to draw males in all all different shapes and form, but stick to drawing females as having the typical hottie body.
I'm always interested when someone has difficulty drawing males but not females. To me, females are all about subtlety of curves while with males you could slap any two lumps of clay together and call it a male body. Of course, I'm not saying I'm very good at drawing either, but females definitely give me a harder time.
This was my favorite female, good pose and very expressive face.
This is my favorite ink job... I like that a lot of it is rough around the edges, but smooth where it counts.
Keep working on the digital colors and hellish creatures!
"Baby, you make me wish I had three hands!"
whoa.. that's a bitching griffon-thingie!!
I love your coloring in the sketcher!
Nice stuff, goo! I like your creatures, especially if they eat nuts. Keep it up!
i love the first girl, the skull and the green worm dude in post 36, very nice colouring.
Keep this up and stay off drawing girls once in a while![]()
ciao
Coooolies Ursula!! Ill have to come into sketcher sometime ...![]()

OK, here are a few sketches done at the ca sketcher. Aqua Chick, Sushi (AKA Goo-shi), and a horse zoomed in and out.
My fave is the horse. But, it's 1:45am and I'll probably hate it tomorrow...
What poise said.
Also, I would personally suggest that your sketches might benefit from firmer lines and more shadings to indicate light values.
Btw, I think the forms of the hands you draw have improved visibly.
that horse "to Odayga" cracks me up and makes me feel ill at the same time...
Digi sketches are yummy. That horse cracked me up too. Good times...
Mmm, i can see you've been strongly influenced by Clive Barker. I'm bookmarking this sketchbook.![]()

ew on the horse....lovely but ee
Haha, I love your tribute to Odayga. The colours on that bird are great too!
I really like the family portrait you did last month. The dogs are adorable!
I think you've got a good handle on what you need to work on. Keep it up!

You know what I think could be useful? Do you?.. Well, I'll tell you. Try to color a sketch only in black and white and greyscale. I think that should be a good way to learn how the different shapes are. Ofcourse I'm not the one to tell, but still.
lol, "to odayga"
keep updating
ciao
roflspazism, nice tribute, love the pic to, you def need to redo it went you get majorly professional.
the rendered skull is a very nice piece, one of your strongest, i have to agree with you needing to do more male anatomy.
Burne hogarth book are some of the best figure drawing and anatomy books around, i was lucky enough to find two in my book store (dynamic figure drawing and dynamic anatomy) if you see any hogarth books anywhere, grab it!.
keep it up!
Hai
I like your stuff. You should probably listen to the advice and make some more studies regarding anatomy. Right now it seems a little wonky and proportions are often a bit off.
Your imagination seems to be working great though
I like this one -> http://everythinggoodwastaken.com/resume/sl001a.jpg
Is it a lifedrawing?
Ye. Keep it up!
.peace
Just a quicky girl in the sketcher program.
Don't worry, I'm listening to ALL OF YOUR AMAZING CRITIQUES. I just haven't gotten around to putting them to practice yet. But, I'm actually taking notes! Yes, I am a dork, but I really wanna learn from your advice, so thank you everyone who contributes your knowledge!!

Proably your best one aswell! really great, I cant belive
some idiot really ruined it
Keep it up and cya in sketcher maybe![]()
nice stuff goo, my only major crit is to watch your proportions, your heads are turning up a bit small.
Hello everybody!
Thanks for your comments. Here are some recent sketcher pics. No referencebut oh well.
The black and red face, I'm really happy with. It was sort of an accidental painting that came from trying to work with values and lighting.
The guy looks like an older Wolverine but oh well. That's a good thing, right?
And the first girl was supposed to look Renaissance style, but there wasn't enough time to finish her, so she's all scribbly.
The orange haired Pippi Longstocking girl isn't done in Sketcher at all. It's in CorelPainter, and it's a WIP. I'm just confused as to how to finish her up. Blah. I hate my digital painting style. I have no control over things. I'd stick to traditional if I weren't so stubborn.
