Hey guys. Ive been using painter and OpenCanvas since i started digipainting, but i notice most of u also use photoshop.

What photoshop version do you guys use and whats the pros and cons of it compared to painter?

I've never used painter so I can't comment on how photoshop compares to painter. However I have been using photshop for several years now from as early as version 5. I am now using photoshop 8 and am hoping to get photoshop cs2 soon. The main advantage to photoshop I think is that it can be used for a wider range of work than painter. It can be used for digital painting just as well as it can be used for graphic design or photomanipulation. I think it is a program every digital artist should have on there computer. However it is expensive so Jasc Paintshop pro might be a better option. It is far cheaper than photshop and can do most of the things that photoshop can. I hope this helps answer you're question.
