    What comes after hardcore?

My boss in the architecture office was asking me to make a visualisation of a big office project in form of a comic strip. But he doesn't want the traditional comic look but wants me to reinvent comics. What is the latest design and what comes after it. I am doing a bit research already but I want to ask you guys.
    Where is comic going?

    Your man lewiston.

Comic books are going more into traditional art.

I think your boss in thinking is terms of Rob Liefeld, which is probably what he doesn't want. I'd look up Superman: BirthRight by Leinil Francis Yu to get an idea of where mainstream superhero comics are going.

Make a comic book that looks like something from Syd Mead.

How sophisticated is your boss? Alot of times the boss just jerks you around till you realize the boss doesn't want anything all that elaborate or original.

Hehe. Well, I don't have any serious suggestions, but this honestly sounds like a bullshit assignment. You might want to ask your boss more about what he really wants, or you may end up wasting your time.

Do you know about Strapazin? Comics in most schools for visual communication here are moving towards the contemporary illustration style.

Indeed. alot of comic are leaning towards traditional art. Have you seen Ashley Wood's run of the Konami franchises Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill? And reading through the new Avengers comics, Dave Finch shows the most technical, incredible anatomy I've seen in comics.

Sok-n-wet, well I was going to say that usually what comes after the hardcore is a nap, then maybe a light snack, then repeat...

...I hope my wife doesn't read this.
