alrighty, so did a couple sketches tonight at sketchgroup, and one from yesterday did a freeze frame sketch of phantom, and then tonight tried to remember the colors...... worked on a couple paints...trying to stay loose...dont think thats working yet...
feel like im totally missing something when it comes to painting....

Your getting better at you life drawing. Like your buddy said, see the form. try to draw the shapes of the values of the face to define the form of the face. One of my old teachers used to say don't try to the draw the face, draw the shapes of the face with value. Here are a few things to remember, everything goes into perspective. The same thing applies with figures. Practice drawing your hands and try doing just hands in life drawing session. Also try to change lighting situation when you drawing your hands to see a change of value on your form. Record what you see. Biggest advice I can give you is to keep drawing every day and have fun dude! I will check your progress later. Good luck with your growth! XD

Here is a New Years Day self portrait...going to discipline myself and do at least 1 per day, will be tough, but i can do it....ranging from 15 mins to a couple of hours, digital or traditional...so here is the first one of the year....
i may not post them up everyday...but i will post dumps of them every now and then....and hopefully at the end of the year....a nice big compliation of them....

I have been browsing these late night sketches indeed..like a fiend....maybeh
Anyway!
SP 3 and 5 look like you the most my friend. I think you are getting caught up in detail to early though I see a lot of small brush strokes and I think those are muddying up your paints. Use a bigger brush. Worry about the overall shape and form of what you are doing. Drawing every eyelash (you didin't do that this is just an example) isn't going to make you look more like adrian. Concentrate on the big stuff and that goes for all your paints. The chicks eyes are a little too far from the nose...

got pissed when i got home and i couldnt find my small desk mirror so, worked off a photo not too happy about it, but i needed to do it!
