Thanks a lot for commenting on my sketchbook
I love those pages you've drawn full of little figures... today I tried to make one myself and got bored after the second row so kudos to your patience
The lightings in your Photoshop-paintings are also awesome!

Nice! Wheee - expressions! hehe, looks like you're having fun dude. Studying hands, myself...*mutter mutter mutter stupid hands mutter mutter mutter*...Beautiful. Wow, a whole sketchbook devoted to expressions...how big is it? And don't say "A5" or whatever, 'cause I have no idea what that means. Speak American! j/k! Never mind, it doesn't matter - point is you're doing it, so wtg!

*Edit* And I jumped the line again! Sorry dude - CA is having server issues again! *Edit*

Hey bumsman ! Very cool head studies you did up top...really great lighting on all them, and I also especially like the dude with the septum ring piercing. He looks like a real nutter! Did you look at any reference for the lighting for those? Great job either way...

I like the scribble with the gasmask chick - she's hot in a wierd way, or maybe I'm the wierd one. It's cool to finally see someone put a gasmask in a picture in a different context..because even if it has been done a million times...gasmasks are still kinda cool.

The thumbnails are looking sweet too. I should be doing more of those. The thumbnails with the faces are particularly interesting. I think it's really cooll that you are not only studying faces, but how the placement of the head can change the look of the picture .

i like those ps doodles too...that guy with the small glasses/goggles would look cool with the top guy's body (with the giant claw) ...you can call him 'Claw Man' ! That's for free.
Great stuff man...you know I'll be back for mo mo mo

Excellent sketchbook, especially your work with expressions and your day-in-the-life-of thumbs. Didn't I read in another thread that you go to CCAD.

Wow - you've been busy man. That last batch all looks awesome.
Your work is getting even more solid and fleshed out than before
Really starting to get some serious dimension to your characters

That one swordsman in profile at first glance looks like he has a giant erection!

    Icey, Thanks

vigostar, yeah I must admit CA has pushed me constantly..to get off my lazy ass.. that's half the trouble I think.

rodrigo!, hehe.. well maybe next monday??

Fellah. yo, thanks man.. how are your stuff going with the gallery and all??

liam.c thanks dude, your work is stunning.. thought I mention that hehe

LOOOOOOmer, dude I swear you have twisted mind.. but now that you mentioned it I can't help picturing it. hehehe thanks for compliment.

Small update..... my scribbles on my tiny ass A5...sketchbook.. Oh yeah I was drawing on the train yesterday and the lady sitting next to me.. taps me on the shoulder and goes "wow you draw really well.." and I didn't know what to say so I sat there...I am so bad at taking compliments.. hmmm then we went a little about how she can't draw at all..and I smiled...and that was it.. what would you guys say??? I wanted to say "WHAT!?!? lady, I am shite.. you have to go to conceptart.org and see the true masters, OK!?!?! w-w-w-.-..." but the train was pretty packed so...I kept quite..

    enough rant.

some drawings at a pub last weekend with friends, they couldn't quite understand why I was drawing though..

scribbles on the train... thought I try out some hand action.. I am still waiting for bridgman's book on hands.. hmm wonder when it's going to arrive..

    quick faces...

drawing at wynyard station waiting for someone.. nice tree...

had reference for these, just studying values... rubber was handy.. I think I lost the plot on the second one though.. hmm..

man oh man, you ARE really good at drawing bumskee lol I hear ya on compliments though, sometimes the only thing you can do is smile and say thanks.. anyway amazing little studies you've got here; love the way you do your hatching as well as the general look to them all.

Yeah dude, sooner or later you're going to have to face the fact that you ARE good! Compliments are hard (tell me about it!!) but the only thing to do is smile and say Thank you! They (we!) mean it sincerely, and it should be taken as such. We're not trying to bs you, kiss your patootie, give you false compliments or whatever - we mean it!!!

And, as long as you DO remember that there are tons of people better than you while still being confident of what you can do, you can be the artist that has no false modesty, AND is confident. Tough line to walk! I'm only starting to get confident...and my new fear is that I'll get arrogant! You'll help me not to, right?

You will never get arrogant, Tei - you are just to nice and hardworking for that. So is bummy. And yes time for him to realize he is very good! There will always be artist better that one self - even the great ones feel that way - its the game and the drive isnt it? Seeing good shit and saying:I wanna learn that! The road is easy to see ahead of you bumskee!
