finally i have it. and i love it. the gameplay, the graphics, the slang...plain wonderful. can't wait to get home to continue with it. the humour in some places is also brilliant.

Always think about:
lighting! design! perspective! proportion!
And (self)motivation is still everything.
Man when are they gonna drop a GTA title for PC and make it multiplayer dammit. The original GTA multiplayer was so much fun.
hmm haven't played multiplayer...although i guess there will be a fan-made multiplayer again in no time. they had it on the last two as far as i know.
oh,and imo the voice acting and movements are the most realistic ever amongst today's games.it's incredible how you live with the characters because of the way they act.atleast in my opinion.

While i loved driving around the city in the PS2 version, i stopped playing because of the incredibly moronic missions & cutscenes. Personal opinion, sorry Carnif.
I'll get the PC version anyway, for one reason, modding the hell out of that game. Literally. That and driving around not having to listen to "Welcome to the Jungle" on repeat.
The graphics are sweet, don't matter if there's no normal mapped high poly boredom. I had a lot of fun though stealing tractors, checking out the stupid people in the backcountry, riding up the mountain on a motorcycle, parachuting ... lots of fun stuff to do.
well the missions might not be that exciting, but most of the cutscenes are very good. heh,i can't talk much though because i've only played 4 or five yet.
i found that one with the "drive by eating and shooting" hilarious. the gangsta slang might not be everyone's deal, but to hear how someone complains that he's got ketchup all over the car seat whilst the others are shooting like mad makes me chuckle.
well,it's my personal opinion. as said i'm always damn impressed by the smooth animations. try hitting someone with a pool stick-wow!
btw why'd you have to listen to "welcome to the jungle" on repeat? no switch?

The song just kept coming up. Driving around, shooting people, the song starts. switching stations, going back to the only good one (ROCK). Ten minutes later Axl Rose starts singing again. Reloading the game, playing for 5 minutes - welcome to the jungle. Dunno, maybe my PS2 was borked.
Anyway, Rockstar do have a great sense of humor sometimes. Maybe the game works for you. For me, i liked the atmosphere of Vice City better. Plus, there's only so much gangster attitude i can take. The game (as is Vice City) is very chauvinistic. You should be aware of that. I just got fed up with it after a while. There's some really cool missions sometimes though.

Yes, but the ex is the "crazy bitch" character. She is the kind of girl who thinks she can think for herself, and because girl's should not think for themselves (as it seems Rockstar is implying) she only causes all kinds of trouble. At least that's what i gathered from the game. I don't want to get all feminist and all, but it's just not a story i'm going to believe in.
I dunno about Asuka, wasn't she in GTA 3?
Doesn't matter that much anyway, they are not going to change the game after it was released because of people complaining on the internet.
they were both in gta3 weren't they?
yah sadly they don't do that-t'would be fun with certain games.
