un poco más de cosillas: the first 3 are some stuff i made during the barron storey seminar i atended a couple of weeks ago. barron storey is a very inspirational man, full of knowledge and he will be dearly missed here.

The next drawings 4 images are real life inks/pastels/pencils of 1) a model 2) my girlfriend 3) my uncle 4) a portrait of my father

Hello, once again I'm updating this... the first two images are from past friday's drawing session. the next is the cover of my new sketchbook, DESTINO BASURA (aprox the 10th in a couple of years) and the 4th is the work in progress for the curse challenge, due on july 4. Hopefully I'll finish the whole image tonight, so I can work on finishing the details tomorrow. Enjoy!

the first of a series of made up portraits: painter x and photoshop. i added some texture to the face with a photo of a surface I took. My texture library is great! Now if I can find a way to do this with real paint... nevertheless, the series will continue!

Now for updates, first of all no head in this post

but i'll post one tomorrow. I wanted to show a study I'm doing now. It's an old master copy, all digital, using painter for the moment. A couple of hours until now. I can't remember who made the original, but I pretty much liked it the first time I saw it. The main purpose of this copy is to study how the values are working within this composition, and also as an excercise to see if I can find a way to emulte 'real life' textures in Painter. so I expect to have a great time learning on this one.

asoir - thanks for posting buddy. I'll be trying to do some oil paintings soon enough, and more complex illustrations (apart from faces), using the new "techniques" I discovered. Thankfully I have lots to do!

a quick fooling around in photoshop, just before supper. I like the solors & mood of the fellow. He's called HUEVON. EDIT: Oh and I forgot to mention that so far, non of the faces & stuff I have been posting has been referenced from photos or any other source. it's only from my humble mind!"

This is my favorite one so far, its got a macabre feel to it, and the way you rendered it works best. These digitals are a bit hit and miss, but keep experimenting! You'll get a hang of it soon. Ciao. :p
