once again, a beautiful piece, but i prefer the dynamic stuff. the back pose doesn't seem like a good standalone piece for the thing, maybe more suited to a model sheet. why does he have a mirror, is he supposed to be his own truck or something?

I appreciate what nofingers said, but I like quiet poses personally. I think you get more character that way than you do with the flying-through-the-air, about-to-punch-something pose.

He could use some mudflaps, though.

Honestly the only thing I have a problem with is his stance, his attitude. If you've read his backstory, you'd find he's not your fuck-all badass. He's a sad man, disfigured and traumatized. Be prepared to cry during the movie. Maybe it's just my style, but there's no essence of that in there. He may be able to fuck some shit up (pardon my french) but he should have that solemness inside, maybe through his eyes.

That's really just nitpicking though. The style is very Samurai Jack (?) and I'm not sure what's going on with his accessories. They actually seem to be making fun of his character, like he's a satired version of himself. Is that dot under his hat his eye? It's a bit low, and I actually liked the sketch better with his hat covering his eyes, kind of showing his insecurities. But it does work as a restyled version of him, and I think this would probably sell. Good job overall, and thank you for showing your process. Process makes me happy.

I really like the coloring. But I think you could have put more effort on the legs, the way you've done the hands. They seem flatter to me. Also on the right leg where the pants are and where I think is supposed to be some shadow, the color value is brighter than the left one where some light should hit.

I really like the small touches like the sign on his back! pretty neat. I know it fits within the style here, but for some reason it's allways really bugged me when a character's arm blend seamlessly into his hand or fingers with no actual wrist. it's not really a problem here though. Good work! like your colors a lot!

Beautiful process there. Great linework and wonderful color scheme. I would agree as well, if you made an artbook full of your lineart and these colorful characters, I'd most definately buy it too!!
