dirty_c's embarassing old shit he was hoping would disappear.

    Hi all.

This has been going for a while now. Do me a favour and check out the last page, cause the progress is pretty evident. i'm tempted to close this down and start a new one, cause the old stuff in here is probably dragging me down, but i'd rather show the progress than pretend I was born where I'm at, know what I mean?

Hey, I like the colors on that last piece, especially how muted they are. Is it photoshop or painter (or something else?) Good luck

DIRTY_C! How are ya man? Had an awesome time in SanFran, aside from everyone being sick. Glad we got to room up, it worked out all peachy like. I was hit by the sickness while delayed for over 24 in airports on the way home.

Great stuff, those paintings are lookin really nice. If you'd like I can send you a scan of the sketch you graced my book with.
    Motivation...gone.

    Sketchbook be here...

Bojee - Cheers man. Nice meeting you in SF, btw. Still don't know how you could put a big sticker on your powerbook, but hey, it's your baby right?

giles.t - thanks! And it's Painter IX. Primarily the oil pastel tools.

RKHON - Jesus you're huge now. I guess this means next time you'll be getting first dibs on beds haha

Badger's - Awright mate. I'll try and dig out one of those colour spoons for you soon

And I didn't say, but Imery's (big time lurker on the boards) wife showed me that she can actually do the pose the four armed guy is in. It's called the scorpion. But with less arms, obviously. Gotta get a photo next time I see her.

Dirty_C- Yeah, It was nice meeting you too but I wasn't the one with the power book, I think you got me confused with someone else. Regardless, great stuff again, I really like seeing the notes /writing right next to the drawings in your book. Post more often.

Oh shit dude, I totally did. I just remembered - I'm thinking of some other guy. You had the small like postcard size pics of your paintings, yeah? Really lovely stuff.

If not, I'll keep guessing. Next I'm gonna decide you're Vanessa Lemen. And then maybe you'll be Misty. Mmmmm, Misty.

I always favor your speedpaints - I am beginning to see a trademark pallette for you now (a lotta warm greys with magentas and the like). You also got one helluva disturbed mind...

I'm not a huge fan of your ink brush piece, but the one right before it and the terrifying goat rank pretty high. I love your linework sensitivity to form with 'em.

loving your stuff here Mr. Dirty Sir, especially the one you did for the dragon thread and your pencil sketches are truly great, not really convinced about your foray into ink and brush, maybe get hold of a white ink pen to allow for extra detail.

I also find your floating london gangsta goat very amusing.

sos wen' a bit dry on ya there.

Varied, hugely imaginative, and eminently lookatable.

Can't wait to see more fella.

EDIT: the illegible 'doctor's prescription' handwriting is a nice touch too.

Molly: Yup, I'm a real advocate of drawing interesting people instead of just killer
babes - why I found it a bit weird in SF.. and daily my arse - since trawling through your sketchbook, I'm totally demotivated. Need to push meself a bit more, I think Though I was talking to Kim the other day, and he's so right, the three of us have come so far since we kicked things off in the Princess a year ago..

deez: Thanks! I'm thinking I need to tighten things up, actually. But I was thinking about my public transport thing today, and it really does make things difficult - the roads are totally uneven here But even so, it's nice to hear. Cheers.

Kaoki: A dog?? Damn, what I do to make you so mad? I try to be better in the future

johnny78: Yeah, but to be honest I haven't used acrylics, or any paint, as much as I'd like, just lately. I'm gonna try and get back into it, cause it improves my digital work immensely to work in real media.

spud: Cheers bud, always nice coming from a Northern Gent I'm trying to expand my repertoire of clothing and the like now, cause I must admit, I'm way too partial to nudity (god I love life drawing). I think that's the next part of my 'drawing' side I need to focus on to improve range. Thanks!

thanks everyone - will try and keep posting

    Nice, Christian
It's always cool to look through your stuff, it would be awesome if you filled it with more of digital paints like the above. I'll be doing a DSB too soon seeing as it is the end of semester here at design school.
