    Talking Lim's Sktchbhuk .:.New Portrait

Alright, found time today to scan in some stuff I did over the past 3-4 months..

Quality of most pics isn't that good, some may appear blurry due to my hand shaking and the fucked up lighting while photographing them.

    So, let's start this:

a quick study of a goya painting

some life drawings from a nude drawing course.

still life drawings, all about 2-3 hours.

self portraits, second one in acrylics on paper

    a female skull

mask of dionysos or bacchus or whateva..

a pretty recent drawing of an anatomical cast.. about 3 hours..

short portrait of a guy sitting next to me in school

    study of a ribcage

    some anatomy studies..

facial expression study with photo ref.

    Nice start dude.
    Nice pencil work.
Slight anatomy flaws - we all have - like the girls ear is placed to far in the back of the head - stuff like that - you seem to be doing pretty fine.
    Keep it up

Wow, I dig your pencil abilities. Your overal stuff is pretty solid as far as I can tell. I guess that comes when you spend hours for a drawing. I envy you for your patience, man!

As for critics: In the first picture, the ear is too far away from the face and the overal neck isn't feeling very good. The ear of the guy in school is well rendered but a bit too small I'd say (but it's still credible) and the hobbit's head looks kinda flat. But your stilllifes are incredible.

    hers ur pizza mister O_O

ur stuff looks good.. i feel impressed somehow O_O
that first still life drawing thing is awesome.. that lightning rocks me ass
    good constrasts

the only thing i sugest u is to studie volume how to get a circle out of a quad

i mean to get good controle abut ur stuff u wanna draw * NO REF * its good to brake down smooth forms into easy geometrie to understand their volume and their orientation in 3D space *brake down a half circle into 180 pieces - one piece per degree start with 3 pieces and train until u can controle 180.. and 360 .. 360 is like total controle drawing a sphere without tools - free hand- ^_^ *that stuff u see is 3D and that 3D ness must be translated into 2Dimensional 3Dimensionality
it controls space*orbit perspective and the images u see with ur eye

sooner or later we learn that stuff anways.. but we are not really aware off

    symmetrie
    perspective
    foreshortening
    dynamic
    vanishing point

    keep up

Very strong still lifes, and a couple of the portraits really stood out, good colors there.

For the Goya painting, her hair seems too high for her head and her torso a little too bulky.

You've got a wide variety of stuff in different mediums here, so your diversity is good, keep it up!

Nice butt, the top left area of the back looks like it's going a little flat but it's a nice start.

Ohh man I really dig those three still life studies that you've done. Vary nice! Lighting has always been a problem for me, but you have a real good head for it.

I also like the self portrit with the acrylics. The only thing I find odd about it is the middle finger, kinda seems odd. Then agian that might just be me.

    Nice butt by the way
