    hello!

    Wow it's been a year and I think nobody remembers me haha! Maybe that's better that way, I still don't really know how to draw... but I'm learning, more or less.

    Right now I'm attending the Florence academy of Art in Florence, it's bleeding me dry financially but for the first time in my drawing life I actually feel like making some progress The school is insane though, 10-12 hours of drawing a day + scetching and own stuff at home afterwards. You gotta be learning something from tat, right? Well at least I get practice.

    I'll just put the last 2 longposes I made this trimester:

    and some scetches, studie drawings that are mildly related, most of my stuff is still embarrassing but I managed to fill up 7 or 8 scetchbooks during this year I think, so yeah it's been a good year

    just some answers real quick maybe some of you come back and actually read them:

    @JiR: Thanks man!

    @Farvus: Hey man your input is always appreciated! You remind me to talk to you more haha!

    @Helioth: Fuck yeah

    @AsaB: Hey! Leider bin ich immernoch nicht D-Land, wenn ich aber in der Gegend bin wärs super mal zusammen was zu skribbeln! Ich hoffe das mit dem Studium klappt und Du kommst gut mit Deinen Plänen vorran. Werde gleich mal Deine Sache auschecken. Dein Deutsch ist wirklich sehr gut!

    @krel: Erm. Well I try to study haha!

    @Liam Harvey: Wow thank you! Glad you like my stuff

    @purb36: Hey man I gotta chat with you more. damn

    @Amarok: hmmmmm we will see.

    @stone.: Hey man Du bist mir immernoch eine Inspiration!

    @JellevdVegt: Hey man! I left the internet for a while, partly because I didnt have it and partly because I wanted to learn for myself and keep all my stuff under a blanket to adres issues and stuff. I'm still there, very hesitant to show my work since I get more and more aware of my shortcomings. Btw, I switched schools and study in Florence now

    @jNeumann: Thanks I like Anatomy

    @Konstruktion: Damn I'm still hungover man! Have a great time in Sweden and I'll see you back in 2 weeks!

    Yo!

    Just sending in some more images, two stilllifes I did at some point, with oils and coal, as well as another cheap scetchbookpage

    @Aryeh: Really? Thanks!

    @That fat kid: Yeah I saw you started posting again as well, I really like your etchings and the fact you got much more fine-arty with them Not everything can be dinosaurs and robots, eh? About those drawings, well the focus is less on rendering than on the structure, anatomy and stuff like that, so I didn't have time to really flesh out a lot of the parts. Still beginning, I really struggle with building up a working-routine that puts everything under one roof. But yeah, the next one will be better!

    @Maidith: Indeed she is! Yeah Terra is very good, she instantly joined the painting program. Too bad tho, since those Elite guys are so much above us mere foot-soldiers hehe

    @Mat Kaminski: Thanks, sadly I don't have a camera ad shit so I can't give out much output atm

    @JellevdVegt: Heyy thank you! A lot of reasons why I left that school, partly politics, partly because the students aren't that much into it and partly becuse i didn't understand the didactic resoning behind the course. The thing about "being better" is funny thuogh. I don't feel like being better than before, my drawing still isn't what I would like it to be. My problemsolving got a lot better though. I am thinking more bout what I am doing and this academy really helps me breking down the picturemking proces into mngeble chunks.

    @Tetsuo: haha, it's all good! I still like to draw very much and will continue to do so. As long s you're doing the same, you're fine

    Holy hell, tried to paint digitally again and it feels really rough. A ridiculous amount of refinement and tampering! I guess I know what I have to work on more, my workflow right now is seriously disturbed with that medium-

    Anyways, just wanted to give some props to the swedish superstar in our school, he is one big talented SoB and he is putting the rest of us in shame all the time!

    Anyways

    This one is actually from a graveyard-sculpture by Giulio monteverde, pretty inspiring shit and it turned out not bad considering that I still need to get back into digital again:

    Nice update. The long poses and still life paintings really stand out from the rest. Seems like you're gravitating more towards fine art. That's area where I can't really help in any way so I'm just going to say keep going.

    great work man,
    all you need to do now is start and finish some paintings to the best of your ability,
    digital or otherwise, just keep working away at it over a month, an idea you like.

    looking forward to the updates, be well!
