For whoever's interested I have tomorrow free, so I'm heading to the Museum of Science with a sketchbook and some pencils. I'm gonna spend the whole day drawing from that exhibit Bodyworks. Anyone who's interested can meet me there.

Hey man, if you can stay there really late I will try to get there at 6PM by commuter rail. Send me your cell # via PM if you get a chance.

Actually I might be all tired out by then, plus that's when my wife get's home from work. We'll see, and I do have your cell phone, but no promises. I can call you tomorrow sometime for an update. Afterwards, I'll try and post my sketches for a critique here. Man, it's too bad I'm working this Sat, or I'd go straight to the Fogg's drawing room and ask for lots of sketches on anatomy.
Hey Darkwolf, thanks for the PM! I could perhaps be talked into a meetup sometime.![]()
Ooh, ArtEdGradStudent, I wish I could meet you today at Bodyworks. I have GOT to see that exhibit! If you go today, will you give us a report on the exhibit and crowd conditions?
I may regret yet another extracurricular with the pile of stuff I'm already planning to do, but if anybody wants to get together on a Saturday, I might be able to come.
I think you are awesome, and I wish you the best in your endeavors, but I am tired of repeating myself, I am very busy with my new baby, and I am no longer a regular participant here, so please do not contact me to ask for advice on your career or education. All of the advice that I have to offer can already be found in the following links. Thank you.

Alright guys and gals
Who's up for some Boston sketching. Come on. New Year...new sketching.
Let's meet up sometime. I know the next two weekends are probably off...but how about early Jan sometime? Start the new year off right.
I'm in Brookline right near Coolidge Corner.

you know I'm down for it, Jason. I haven't had time to organize any drawing events myself, but I'd love to come sketch out in the city--might be able to drag a few of the guys from work too!
But yeah, this weekend and next are tricky, but I'll be watching things here. Somehow I keep getting unsubscribed from this thread!

Wondering if anything new was happening with this group? I haven't actually checked CA for local meets since I moved up near Boston. About time I did..
Been pretty bored lately and the weather is finally starting to pick up. Anyone up for a weekend?

Man this thread keeps dying![]()
Let's see...for the college students out there and others who could make it, it'd be great to plan some happenings approximately between Dec. 15 and Jan. 15.
And is anyone from Boston planning on attending the Seattle Workshop? If you are, let me know so we can plan to set the same departure times, meet beforehand, etc.
Thanks!

gaah I'd be there in a heart beat, but I've got work from 12 - 6 tomorrow and saturdayif anyone wants to go another time I'm definitely down!
Anyone is Boston still around? I know this thread is old, but if there's a drawing group still going on in Boston I'd love to be a part of it. I draw/paint alone because I don't know anyone else around here that does. I'd really like to find some other people to learn from and create with.
let's get this thing going again!
i'm lonely...![]()

Would you guys mind posting your e-mail addresses here? It's much easier to send a mailing list around if something comes up.

I forgot this weekend is Mother's DayI'll be busy with that. Next weekend I should be free...
A couple of us are planning on meeting in Harvard Square, this Sunday! We're planning on hitting up the Harvard Museum of Natural History (http://www.hmnh.harvard.edu/) which is crammed full of great drawing subjects (skeletons, taxidermy specimens,a few live animals, crazy rock formations, glass flowers sea creatures, scale models of famous architecture. It looks like there's a new bug and arthropod exhibit and a glass sea creatures exhibit! Even if you don't draw, there's a ton of stuff to just look at, and it's a great place to bring the kids/family/aging grandmother/etc!
Admission is 9 dollars, and we're meeting at 1 PM at the big Au Bon Pain cafe (as opposed to the smaller one a few blocks away), right next to the Harvard T Stop. It's about a 5 minute walk from the museum. Come fed and ready to draw, we'll be in the museum awhile. Maybe we'll all go grab some food afterwards!
Reply if you're interested!

sorry I didn't see about the Natural History Museum in time, that place is endlessly interesting. Anyone up for it this weekend?
How silly that I never look at this thread. I'm in Boston, and would enjoy meeting and drawing with a few other folks. Self-employed now, so that's easy, and I may even know some of you by real names, since I worked at about half the game companies around here.
So, perhaps something in July?
