Rpg creature illustrations for Tome of Horrors III

I was granted permission to show my contributions to the upcoming and certainly anticipated Tome of Horrors III from Necromancer Games. The book will be published in B & W and grayscale like before, but I felt the job was significant enough (for me at any rate) to warrant doing them in color first and then setting them to gray after it was done. Therefore, I present them in living (and unliving) color-

Ive got some experence doing stuff like this for a game.
This is good work.
its all solid and it all goes well with eachother.
I like how youve brought in some background in each image.

all great works, the water elemental construct being my fave. the weakest of the pieces is the fire elemental, tho. it doesnt come across as "finished" like the rest do. i think its lacking the detail we see in the other pieces. well done tho

The first iphidian reminds me of that one miniboss from Final Fantasy 4j

But seriously this stuff looks very solid, you did manage to bring a common element into all of them I do have to agrue that the fire construt is the weakest.

Blitz- Thanks. I think doing characters and creatures is great fun, but going the little extra mile and adding in at least a hint of a BG makes them that much more interesting.

'stoph- Thanks. I agree with you on the fire elemental. I went with a little too much style on that one and I think it conflcits with the others. I used to be a tattoo artist and when I'm not paying enough attention I'll sometimes default to my old flame technique when I'm designing anything with fire in it

Zwalharulzuki- I don't think I've ever seen that creature. I hope mine does justice to it

vio, Tad and Hunterkiller- Thanks guys. The Corpse Orgy was a very bizarre thing to have to come up with. I think had I taken the details any farther I'd be retching as I work And the Blood Wight is definitely my own personal fave.
