I really love the paint study of the dog, the brush strokes lend themselves so well to the windy-atmosphere sort of feel. Are you going to do the final in a similar, loose sort of way?

Thanx for the Comments Ben, and Wertle. Ben good eye on the neck being to long. Wertle, I'm going to keep this dog fairly loose, but tighten up some parts like his Jewlery around his neck that I didn't paint in.
Here are some sketches I did over the Holidays, just got back last night.
I hope everyone had a good Break!!
Here is my old pooch, Alex. She's got some stinky ass farts, but I still Love her!
Here are my Parent's Cats.
Top is Chester( he's a little lova at night, but a little brat in the daytime, haha cute)
And bottom is Sadee my sis's cat, had to move to my mom's house because she kept laying on the baby, hehe!
She's a sweet girl, and followed me around just to hang. you can tell she's been around the Block and takes shit from noone.
She has great Tactics when fighting kitty battles with Chester.
My new toned Sketchbook, whoo hoo! love it!
My sister at the Top Breast feeding my nephew, Aiden( I have sooo much more respect for mothers now).
An Eye(haha), a sketch on the plane looking in a magazine, same with the smiley face girl and someguys head. My older sis falling asleep, Aiden again looking cute, and a lady on the plane listening to music.

About the last 3 drawings (dog, cat and the one with the babies) is that Conté you used or colored pencils ? I think I'm seeing some kind of sanguine in there, not sure though.
Nice faces by the way, you sure got some skill...
Oh and I forgot a Gorilla man I did on the way to California.
Yeah Scott this weekend if your free, going to the Met like usually. I think it's Sat. now instead of Sun. haha! yeah celebs, hehe! if only. I'm glad you like the stinky animals, he he.
Taj: doing my best, thanks for stopping by,
Wim: I am useing Prismacolor pencils. I'm useing different shades of Reds and Browns, so you are right about the Sanguine color.

Man! I wanna one of those toned sketchbooks...
it looks like you had a blast doing those, many props for your line weight
and sence of bulk, good plane division, some of the features on the portrait
from the plane magazine, on the right upper corner look a bit unaligned
but its nothing mayor, keep on hitting us with updates!!!
Merry Xmas and happy new year!!
hey, long time no see your thread, really dig your work, love the toned paper sketches.
I would love to see more animals and lifedrawings in that paper.
Keep it up.

great drawings, loving your sketchbook. The lions pic is my fav.
Hello, poise! What a generous update! Beautiful portraits of people and animals, when you promise it in the title, you deliver. Very warm, homey feeling from these new drawings. Cats, dogs and babies. Very heart melting. I wish some hardcore dudes from the lounge had time to sit and look at this update, maybe some real human feeling will be more obvious in them, instead this nauseous theatrics.
I love those animals sketches, I like this manner, unpretentious and precise, very tasteful. You gave them personality, the Sadee looks like Dominatrix in cat's skin and the Chester is a womaniser to the bones marrow even in his sleep. The doggy has really seen it all, so doesn't have the slightest interest to look. So she doesn't look
.
Sketches on the toned paper are great and very different. The most amazing things that the ones made from real life are so much better and have a great volume and weight. That's wonderful, to transfer 3D life on 2D paper and have such a vivid feeling of real life in them, it's showing skills and talent to observe.
Gorilla is great, it's a beautiful as design too, very smooth fluid form.
So thank you very much, great update
Regards, Sveta

Great studies as always Tiffany, the only suggestion I have is to maybe let the values define the faces a bit more and leave out some of the outlines. The cat sketches are great, and the wolf, I really like the way you handle animals and fur. Awesome stuff, have a Happy New Year!

I see you're still kicking ample amounts of ass. I don't have much to say really other than milk summore out of that toned sketchbook, and that monkey thing is bloody awesome.
Barbara Bradley was your teacher?! Good god no wonder you can draw people so well.

Tiffany, this is a hell of a thread. Beautiful linework... I was really psyched to do a skecth trade with you, thanks again! Looking forward to getting my goddies in the mail.
These sketches are absolutely gorgeous!! The way you convey emotion in your work so moving and heart warming. I especially love the piece with the mother and her baby - you can really see the maternal affection there.
Do you have any tips on drawing people from life without them noticing? I still get really nervous and can't get anything accurate or fluid down.![]()
the ape piece is my fav. a i like the certain mixture between animale / human
Ahh yes, the TIff...
