It is getting scary here in NY with the weather, I'm a California girl, so I'm not used to this kind of weather

anyway here are sketches I did at a girls get together. They were knitting scarves and such and I was drawing them, fun times,

not the best sketches out of the bunch, but hey need to put up my crappy ones also,

Thanks for the advice in my thread, I've really been watching those tendencies you mentioned about my faces and I think the are coming out a little better. Great work on the life studies in that last post.

Hello, poise. Lovely combination of realism and romantic moods in your art. That's unique, I never saw anything like this before. Your art is very independent and thought provoking. I left with hunger to see more, even after visiting your beautiful website.
Usually I go through artist's book and grab my favorites on my way. In your book every page offers me something interesting. Your portraits are awesome, it's a alive people, and you showing their individual features like nobody else. I can feel your interest to each person. Good similarity too! I recognise them right away from photos on the forum.
Your romantic images are wonderful. I love how you show them in attractive and sinister ways in the same type, Great imagination and execution.
I love an image of the guy in the dark turban. evil gentleman squeezing the pigeon soul out, your legs in jeans ( they are so careless looking ), knitting, Tim's portrait, pink running animals (look great as an abstract design too). and this one http://arthost.org/tiffany_prothero/plea.jpg, I wish you showed bigger image, it's so beautiful! Hey, poise, thank you so much for bigger image, I took it. It's a beautiful mix of Japanese and European theater, well, as I see it.
Very niece portraits, My favorites are the girl profile on the top of the page and face of the guy with light hair. Expressions are wonderful. Good catch.

Yeah Sve I will Draw Loomer as soon as he hangs with the Sketch group. he has a baby to take care of, so he doesn't get lots of time to hang. I will be gone for 2 weeks and won't see the bunch for a while. But when I get a chance I will most certainly do a sketch of him.

No harm done and I'm not insulted. It's just a little hang up of mine that I've picked up from hearing so many people say that about their work.

The dog with the intricate collar looks nice. The only comment that I have is that his neck and chest area look very long. Not sure if that was intentional. when it goes to the painting it seems less pronounced and I think it work better because the collar is higher up on his chest.

The geisha looks very nice the movement of it is very well done and her expression is so lonely it reminds me of Degas' l'Absinthe.

The studies look very good.
