cheers mr apathy!! nice to see you back in here
i will have a play with working back in wiith white on some of my doodles on the next batch mate.
small update. a 15 min paint and a set of thumbs for this weeks chow:
cakeypigdog, it's looks like you've stopped playing the game. you might be one of those few people that, when I look at their art, I don't feel like I'm under attack, but instead that I'm being let in on something good. And I think these are very good.
Your stuff is getting really tight. I admire your thumbnails most of all. Keep up the good work.
fucking hell jake! there is some suberb stuff in those couple of batches, these two in particular really stand out:

that second one is spot on; could easily see that being the cover of a dark kids book or something- colour, balance tone etc all perfect!
good work.
I saw some of ur stuff at IMAF this year. I am happy I saw the others now. Great works!
Cordy: thanks, thats one of the nicest comments i've had in my little book, much obliged!
Bennett: thankyou very much, i feel like i am inching forward one step at a time, and having lots of fun doing it
newman: hi stranger!! hope your move goes well this weekend, i sure am going to miss you mate. You have been an absolute inspiration to me over these last few years. stay in touch! thanks for your comments too![]()
boreworm: glad to see you have made the migration over here: its a great site with a massive variety of amazing art. Have fun!
ok heres my updates: first consolidated randoms from sketchbook.
+ last weeks chow enrty and thumbs
+ this weeks chow: very early wip.
ughhhhhhhhh...i hate you.
your design skills are just crazy. how do you even pump all these out...
i feel that your colorings really aren't up to par with the drawing, doesn't really show it off...51's coloring was much better than 50's.

Blimey!! What a mad amount of drawings! it's hard to pick something to focus on or crit as a first-time visitor.
I'm a sucker for stylised chunky figures, so that fat batman and the wrestler with the star on his belly immediately stand out for me. And there's some solid life drawing going on. And some great sheets of quick characters.
I'll come back soon with some kinda useful crit....![]()
I like your stuff a lot. great life drawings, great characters. Even though I prefer them when they are still in their rough pencil stadium, but that's just me I think.
Great art!
Hi chap I'm just kicking back and just thought I’d pop by before I’m of to Japan as I need pretty pictures to view and you have plenty at the moment. I like what you’ve done with the street fighter pictures as they still retain your style, which is a nice touch.
(Edit) I think i just made you go up to 5 starsthats a nice present Merry Christmas

farbtopf: cheers! I know what you mean about pencils: a lot of the time i prefer peoples sketch work to their resolved stuff!
RES: cheers ryan, thanks for the vote (straight back down to 4 i see !). hope to play with you more after christmas mate.

Good job on the musician speedpaint. It has a really good sense of movement through it. Top facial hair as well!

a TON of quality in here, i love how you put humor into almost every piece! Your linework is full of life too, i like it a lot!
I'd like to see some more serious stuff from you tho, its easy to fall into a track and keep following that.
rawk awn!
thanks nick! you continue to be a daily inspiration to me.
cheers slash!! thanks for your kind words. i agree with what you say, i do ten to execute to a similar standard/style each time. i shall maybe have a play with some more serious images. i just love having fun though!

i think the girl with the rifle on the 11th is strong, your noses tend to look really flat but it looks better in that one. maybe if you put more of a gleam on the axe on the butcher it would look more menacing
sorry i haven't replied in a while...everytime i try to see your sketchbook my internet dies o.O;; maybe you're cursed.
