    Brun: Cheers muchly!

    Ok update time.
First up are the lunchtime speedies from the last few weeks, topics were 'bursting out', dangerous, gargoyle, impossible battle, johncarter of mars (we missed the chow and thoughtwe would play), captain nemo, and observatory (all 20 mins except for observatory which was 40).

next we have a few little bits i did for a mates music shop. They wanted characters to represnet the areas of the shop (drums, guitar, bass and amps) and also characters for the shop (drum and rattle) They are not using any of it but hey it was good fun!

finally i have an urban vinyl design that i am fleshing out in zbrush. Its wip and i would appreciate feedback.

    Cheers kiddies!

Some really nice compositions (my favorite is Dragons on Rooftops, it's awesome), and I like the direction that Japanese creature band is going.

I dug these up this morning: some quick life studies from life drawing group. I am missing it a lot now will get back to it soon hopefully.
They are water based oils. The two chaps were 1 hour each and the woman a bit longer (bigger canvas!)

Im not entirely sure how to crit somthing like that, but what I would say is to make the concavities sharply edged to the face, if that makes sense. Basicly have one edge where the concave part meets the face. Also, the longer set of arms looks like an after thought to me, just kind of stuck on there. Maybee thats just my perception. I gave you 1 star because I wasn't sure what you were going for. cheers!

i think he looks pretty cool as is, but here are a couple of suggestions if you're not sure where to go next with him:
-assymetry on the face, like, one big eye or something?
-his head sort of looks like a stereo, so maybe an aerial/antenna?
-the "speakers" could do with some sharpening/detail.

like i said tho, i reckon he's already pretty sweet.
what are you going to do with this when its finished?

    thought of some more:
-not keen on the rat tail, maybe round the end off and make it uniform thickness? and make the curve of it smoother.
-some small detail on the back of his head?

Cool stuff here - would the guy balance with that big head so forward? Not sure if you are aiming to make a real one but balance would come into play then.

    ethan karnopp: thanks!!
MonkeYoakum: cheers mate: the hard edge: you mean the two disc shaped holes on the sides of his face?
    RES: thanks mate!
newman: thanks ben, i do miss your slendid feedback mate! i will have a play: i cant go back to sculpt stage but i will have a go in photoshop.
kidult: cheers! Although it looks very far forward the head is actually quite upright above the body.
I have scanned in a few pages from my current moleskin. I have been trying not to just flood my CA sketchbook with them so its just a taste of what i have ben upto. I have also been doodling on a big piece of A1 in my new loft studio. Its top fun. I have been playing with watercolours a bit too but i am still too poo at them to bother taking any photos.
