MonkeYoakum: suspenders would be perfect!! consider it done and thansk very much for the input!
TOOLED!: thanks very much and have fun!!
Alex Alexandrov: cheers mr, that means a lot coming from a man of your calibre. I love your paints: you have really great brushstrokes and colours!
Tommoy: thanks very much i shall pass on your compliment to my good lady wife .
I have started the 3d for my dominance war entry. Very early days but i am already enjoying it a great deal. C & C welcomed and appreciated. Its fun sculpting something with the proportions pushed so far. I want him to be old but vital: with flabby muscle sagging off of jutting bone.

    Cheers chaps!

hey jake, looking nice! not so sure about having the neck so vertical, it might look better if it was angled forward a bit more; guess its a style thing though, so feel free to disagree!
looking forward to seeing this finished.

Holy Hell CPD, that British-looking mustache man is amazing! He made me literally laugh out loud! I love it!

BTDub, you are totally succeeding at giving the impression of sagging muscle.

Zmodel looks nice, still whats up with the catapillar? The only part that jumps out at me is where the abdomen meets the ribs. It looks like a piece of flesh pulled tight like a curtain and freaks me out. So I started doing the gestures like you said, but do you think you could give me some advice for tone, if I spend the next week drawing lines to describe motion Im going to go crazy, somthing must get rendered. Thanks again.

little bit more progress on the sculpt.
The catapillar is his artefact. The dominance war 3 brief says the character must be an artefact weilder. Instead of a fire sword or an ice spear i opted for a catapilar with the power to summon a giant worm monster (giant worm monster not included!)

Hahahaha awesome. I'm a real sucker for caterpillars . The 3D work is stunning and some of your 2D stuff has great atmosphere to it. Also I now wanna get a moleskin. Just keep it coming man too tired for a crit, so for now

Oh and if you get the time it'd be cool if you'd swing by my sketchbook.

Update: I have *almost* finished the high poly stage of my dominance war entry. The head is fresh of the production line this moment. I will get some sketchbook pages scanned in asap. Dominance war is taking up every minute of my free time at present. The end is now in sight though! Looking forward to getting back into painting and quick stuff again!

The Dominance War stuff is going great guns! I really like how the caterpillar's turning out and you know how I feel about extravagant moustaches... The repeating shapes in the guantlet are working really well, too. I think the neck works now that he has his shoulder pads on, but it still looks a bit vulnerable. Maybe some plates that covered the back of the neck but left the front open? I dunno, just a matter of taste I guess.

Overall it's looking wicked, though. Looking forward to seeing it textured. Go go go!!!

    The crazy proportions really freak
me out, but the style fits so well.
Thank you sir, it's a hard track to
lay down to become an artist you
personally can agree upon. I feel
that I am on the verge of either
going pro or quitting the arts altogether.
The latter which I will never do
unless my arms and feet are chopped
off. Oh and mouth is ripped off as
well. If one of my body parts goes,
the other will still be drawing to the
death. If I even have to duct tape
a large pencil to my head, I will draw
    no matter what.

I cannot wait to see your model
    pimped out with colors!

    MonkeYoakum: thanks!
tensai: Cheers, i really enjoyed it and am glad i persevered to the end!
MattGamer: you are making great progress matt! Just keep going. I was looking through the start of bumskees book yesterday day: he is such a great example of just keep going! - his early pages look pretty average but his contempoary work has an -impossible to achieve- gracefulness to it! It shoes you that the people who apear to have an almost effortless skill now actually have it because they have worked so very very hard owards it!
Ashab: hi mister! I read in nicks book that you had been ill! Really sorry to hear that mate, whats been the matter? Hope your fully recovereed now! The pouches were for maggots as food for his carnivouress catapillar!
Reject-D: Cheers, will pop by soon!
Towarlock: thanks, i try to inject some humour into my stuff!
