Socks man, of course!! more socks in drawings i say.
So have you got more time on your hands now? Taking a break from the daily mad work-ness?
Well kudos for range of subjects man, i really need to add more narratives to my work rather than just filling the page with rendered shit.
Be interesting to see what you were to come up with if you had to do quick character silhuettes...
    Much love.

Your work is modern and intricate, yet at it's most grotesque, stays extremely romantic. Just really stunning stuff, alot to take in, nothing to really critique on as they're really just sketches. Great stuff though, keep posting here and everywhere else you can around these parts.

Totally agreed, Grimm's fairy tales, Arabian Nights ( thousand and one night), Blue Beard, Patrick Suskind's "Perfume", Alexander Dumas, both father and son, Great English literature, great French literature, "Theatre" by Somerset Maugham ( read it? you better do, you will love it, I do), Hans Christian Andersen, Stefan Zweig ( you would be awesome illustrating his novels), Narnia Chronics, Lewis Carroll. And that's your natural. I wonder how you are in realistic/ humorous approach, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, O. Henry, Arthur Conan Doyle (WOW, I would love to see how you will create crime happening atmosphere in art piece). Ahhh, like meeting old friends, all those names, me sitting on floor near my sweet book shelves. The best times.

Sorry, a bit lost my mind here.

Read pearls collected by the owner of the site, he is very interesting guy on his own judging of what looked funny to him. . "I'm a lonely sheep, will you be my date?" hehehe, enjoyable.

Your phrase, the one you chose is very expressive as well. And it makes the drawing very Japanese. Those modest eyes, traditional bow of her head, quiet feminine steps, legs of color of blooming cherry tree, delicate, soft, submissive. Ahhh.... That's how I imagine Japan. I think that's how you imagine it too . Phrase is just a final effective touch to any who is in doubts that it is impersonation of Japanese culture in European performance .
Japanese art is very aethetic, it shows in your drawing too. Again, one of my favorite writer said: "Only Japanese and French artists were able to show a human sin in an attractive light". I add, Japanese, French and Lukavi. .

Anatomically the drawing is great, legs and feet are exceptionally good in my opinion.

So the last flying robot is in parts now, in the luggage. Sad. I got attached to them already. Sigh. Very sad.

Funny scene with naked furious woman running toward bullets and rocks. So angry and the broken heel will not help to improve the mood. She will make the opposite side regret all they did. Oh, I apologise, it is my beloved ones, flying robots. OMG, now I am torn, I like both sides. The manlike face of the women fits and doesn't spoil her appeal, she has a charisma.
OK, I like the both sides, so I wait until the next illustration and will stay with a winner .
    Bye.

Hey Dood, I love the graphical finishing you have adopted in some of your stuff, like the screentone bgs etc. I would love to see some more bold symbols to really set that graphical approach off even more! Always loved your soft organic pencils, the shapes you make are always so astheticly spiffy!

ha ha you're an animal lukavi. keep en comming. you shame me with all this work. must do more! i think your forray into graphical elements works well.
also your increased speed sits well with your style. your only a year or two away from publishing a sexy 'art of lukavi' book methinks.
loomis is wonderful isnt he. the head and hands book is such an incredible resource. whenever i read up on an artist whos ork i love it virtually always come out that they studies loomis.
keep going mate, you are an inspiration!

Every time I see you update I say it's about goddamn time... where do you disappear to? You better be out saving ophans or nursing sick baby seals back to health, because any other excuse is unacceptable...

The two Vigo quoted pretty much made me poo my shorts too. Awesome. Good to have you back, just like all the other times I say that.

Very fun sketches Lukavi...I was checking out the link to those random Japanese quotes and was laughing like crazy. You made good use of one in that sketch you did. Turned the quote into a cool thing instead of a rediculous mistake. That's usin' your noggin'. Lookin foward to more. Peace

    Prickly

    Thanks for stopping by, guys…

Britt: Haha, I’m glad you checked out that place, man. I thought I was the only one sick enough to be laughing by myself reading those lines. Good to know! Fun read huh? How’ve you been, man? Its been forever. I’ve been gone a while, but it looks like it’s the same case with you. What’s new? Got any fresh updates? Feed me!

Fellah: Thanks, man. I’m glad you liked it. Wish I can be half as fast as you, you maniac doo-er!

Badger: I gotta try that silhouette deal. I can see myself sucking badly at it. Stop giving me ideas to hurt myself!

Hurricane: Thanks, Hurri. I like that new avatar. You look like you had just sneezed, or in front if a really huge fan pointed towards the ceiling. Or you could be upside down and hanging from the ceiling, its full of possibilities, very open-ended. I can write a thesis about it…

Voodoochile: Thanks, man. I checked out your website, its sick.

    Koppa: Thanks, he is awesome.

J_absinthe: Thank you, sweet chow topic btw.

Mr.Blonde: Its not that kind of anatomy lesson!!! Thanks for passing by.

Oomgawa: Ok, I might gather up some courage to do it one day. Nice to see you around here again.

Sve: That’s a long list! I haven’t even touched less than half of the books you mentioned there. Need to read more. Thanks for stopping by, and Good luck on your calendar piece. Its looking great so far.

Sith: Yeah man, I saw your name in the first page of your SB, so I thought hmm Thai? I have a friend who is Laotian, sweet girl, very pretty and smart. Jamie is her name. You wouldn’t happen to know her maybe? … LoL kidding. Don’t you hate that though, just because you share an ethnic background with someone, people assume that you know each other. At least I get it a lot.

Eriboss: Ssobire, thanks for the suggestion, man, I’ll definitely try that out.

    Foxoo: Ty, Edite!

Cakeypiggydawg: Aww, no I’m light years away from that. Maybe a sex catalogue is more viable. Yeah Loomis is awesome. He makes it look so easy You study him too? Thanks for dropping by, man. Keep cranking out the good stuff.

Strych9ine: Damn, Strych, I always have a hard time typing your handle (I type nine instead of 9 all the time). I’ll use Cody, dammit. Btw, its really top-secret but I’ve been doing some secret government missions, mostly spy work and baby seal-savin.’ Its pretty fun, although they never let me draw so I said fuck it.

Vigosuperstar: Dammn vigo, you haven’t updated in a long time. I saw your sketchling thread floating around last week, but that was about it. Do you have a solo SB? I know you love doing group things, SB orgies and what not, but your solo-self needs some loving too! If you have updates, hit me up.

Oma: Nah, I’m from the US, but my grandma is german that is why we call her that. Thanks for dropping by, Rob.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

I took a break from the graphical stuff for now. Thanks for the suggestions btw, much appreciated. I’ll try ‘em out next time. Also want to do more enviros For now just doing some of the usual stuff… prickly things

Ha ha, nah man, sketchbooks shouldn't be about constant stream of strong points to get arse pats, they should be about tackling your weaknesses.
Otherwise i'd draw cityscapes ALL day, but alas i need to learn to draw figures.
I shall reply to your other question in my book.
The daemon has a weird mix of light sources across the horn. Well the horn is different from the rest.
