Heavy Armor Thread

I thought I'd start a thread for anything that fits with the words "Heavy Armor." Drawings, sketches, paintings, whatever. As long as the armors big put it in!

I'll start with an older painting of mine "Heavy Soldier"

here's another. but not a big gun, but a bid saber instead. this was drawn by another artist,William Mangin and colored by me.

Tell the artist to draw the handle of the big sword again, it looks too plain and simple and flat! I don't like the way it comes out from the base of the sword, I think that's the main reason why it looks flat.

Nice image salaryman. It looks like it was colored on vellum. The bandaids all over his feet are a nice detail. My only nit-pick is that his shield looks like a flat piece of paper. Even if it is a street sign, I think just a little line around the one edge would give it the volume it needs.

cheers, yeah it's always bothered me that shield (should change it then!), I think it's the angle of the hand, and with the shadow line tracing what would be his arm, it flattens out the sign. It was done fairly rapidly and out the door before I could mull it over though....

Your suggestion would sort it out easiest I reckon, cheers!

Just a quick question, what exactly is heavy armour? I mean it seems most of the things here are soldiers, and even mechas, what about fantasy beings like warriors and knights? Do they count as heavy armours too?

hariz_otaku87:thanks, Will did a good job drawing him. he's into transformers and that's what he draws mainly,but he does draw humans as well, as shown.
