xenmurok - no money needed; for you, stac, its free.

tokidoki - daijyoubu...kotoba ga tarinain deshyoo! OMG dake de ii...

flipmaster - thx man! thx for stopping by. most of the colored stuff is Painter, but the pictures i make for my students are i think, all colored with fat permanent marker from the office, cause im either too poor or too cheap (take your pick) to buy anything really good. really, im not that good at coloring either, right now i just throw stuff on the page and hope that it works.

bsjoe - yeah, man, i was originally gonna put a disco ball in, and i forgot; thx for the reminder. oh yeah, i also forgot...NO PANTS WEDNESDAY. im sure yall can figure out how that one works...

middle of the week...seemingly good so far. got some friends from college coming by to hang out over the weekend, so im looking forward to that...should be fun. heres some stuff.

So, I was wondering, what were those pens--the pilot versions you wanted. I wrote them down somewhere----before I cleaned up and that's lost. Weren't they medium tip? Fine tip? Green something?
I'll pick some up for you while I go shopping for office supplies for my desk. can you believe it? I HAVE A DESK!

Anyhow, The fish is very aesthetic.

Working on any big projects? One of the chics looks like she's throwing a fan. It would be rocking to see a few figure studies of chics with fans. That's just me.

xenmurok - hey stac, thanx. awesome turn of events, i actually found a place that sells the pens so i dont need you to send them. but thanx for the thought. i like the fish too...all of the small pics that are square are warmup pics, just to sharpen my digital skills and get better control along with learning to work with color. therell be much more in the future. i think.

some warmups for the long drawing session that never was.

    more to post soon...see yall

bsjoe & shinryu - thx. the 2nd pic is actually photo-reffed of a friend, so the shadows were there and it was easier to get it "right"; that was the first time i'd drawn that friend. i was actually trying to do a caricature, but there wasnt a feature that really stood out on her to exaggerate, possibly her thin lips. ill eventually get it though. the first is my boss; he wanted me to draw a pic of him for his business card, that was just a study/warmup.

    recent updates joe?

    small dump and details

friends are coming later on (we missed each other yesterday); see yall when i see yall. as always thx for stopping by. c & c, pleeeeez.

the last portrait, though pretty rough, has a nice feeling to it. You are overly doing very well, improving and such. Will be coming along from time to time looking at your progress

    d'ja miss meeeeee????

what can i say, life's been busy. work, hanging out, partying, helping other friends teach english...you know the deal. i think ive taken a good enough break and am ready to start up t-dome again with sajad, look out for that; ill keep yall posted.

faust - thx dude. yeah, the last pic is rough: its less than 2x2 inches. just a quick sketch of my sister cause i dont think ive ever drawn her before. ive been on a portrait kick lately, so i might do a good one of her. itll be her birthday soon anyway, maybe i can make something good for her.

toki, masayasu, runtosaurus, b-man, stac - yall alive and posting?

comments about the latest t-dome pic: the regular comments are in the t-dome thread, but just to say, i really had wanted to photoshop the picture of wonderwoman as a poster on the back wall, i just didnt take the time to and my friends were over longer than we had originally planned. i think that wouldve been a good addition to the pic as it kinda doesnt have much life, methinks.

this isnt mine, but its by my favorite artist, jim lee. motivation, we'll call it.
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...onderWoman.jpg

anyway, heres some recent stuf ive been working on. my posting may suffer for a while since im working on my book again, trying to meet the artificial deadline my friend set for me, so most of my drawing will be on that, i think. or i hope. ill also show how progress is going on the viking/compilation pic. toodles.

Keep doing those eyeballs purb. Ii desu ka? Like your new stuff. Keep working at it. I will check you out later, have to get home. At work right now. I need to get a scanner for the house. I am always using the scanner at work, so most of my art is family safe. Don't want to get in trouble, you know. Well, Take care. > Mata yo.

Hey purb - I can't believe I haven't left a comment in your book before now. Anyway, nice job on the anatomy studies. That's something I need to spend more time on too. You're obviously putting a lot of work into it. I also really like the portrait you posted on June 1st.

Definitely seeing improvement as I scroll through. Keep up the good work.
Please stop by my new Anatomy Sketchbook and critique the hell out of it.

masa - thx dude. ive been trying to work out differences in asian eyes lately cause ive been drawing people i see here, more portrait-type stuff. its really hard to do them well, so more eyeballs to come. and yeah, get a scanner. i found a nice one for "relatively" cheap, canon lide 500f. it uses indirect LED light to scan, so its really safe on your eyes. plus it can be stood pretty much vertical so it saves space on the desk. check it out. and keep drawing and posting. gambare!

kiril - thx, and thx for stopping by. it was a really fun pic to do and im happy with how it turned out. yeah man, this place is a bastion of improvement. looking forward to more stuff in your book too.

crazy3d - better 'late' than never, right? thx yo. yeah, anatomy is just one of those things that i like to do. maybe you could call it semi-perfectionist tendencies, i dunno. its fun, and i have a long way to go, so im still on it. i really need to do some environments soon. i like that portrait too (the one on the right...the left pencil one is very strange, i think its cause the eyes are weird...and i look like a giraffe ). im glad you see improvement...i feel it too.

last week was kinda busy, and then there was a 3-day weekend. saw star wars: Episode 3...really good. really good. went on my first motorcycle ride yesterday. really fun, makes me want to get my own now. if only i had over $1000 for the license...

thx for stopping by, minna-san. mata kite ne!

NinjaK - thx for stopping by dude. yes, there is some bridgman influence that you see here. i started studying some bridgman early this year...i really need to get back on that stuff. my biggest influence on art though is probably jim lee of X-Men fame...he's what got me "seriously" into drawing. everything's just kinda grown from there. but yeah, bridgman is pretty sweet; he's a good way to study if you really like drawing the human body.

toki - yep, he's my sake-drinking, karaoke-loving boss with a really great smile. it gives you that warm fuzzy feeling. and then he tries to steal your chocolate.

something i did for my dad, picture for his presentation. more traditional stuf soon, didnt feel like scanning anything last night.

Fellah - always good to see you around here bro. haha, the eyes were done that way kinda by accident; wow, my subconscious is a better artist than i am! :o i should just draw without thinking more often...

sajad - thx dude. hey, i think this is the first time youve posted in here; welcome. uh, yeah. stuffs been busy here, and i think its time i learned when to say "itsu". im still workin on a book for which i have an artificial deadline of next month, doing a "commission" for the local library, and i was doing the Illustration Activity up until this past Sunday. plus work and life stuff has been wearing me out. plus, anyway, you were the one to put the t-dome on hold, werent you? well, i guess its my turn to call timeout. give me a week (not that ill get it all done, but ill have been working on more of it), and lets hop back in this @&&)*$^.

presentation drawing numero duos & recent stuff

"Last Man Standing" t-dome looks reeeeeeediculous!!! keep a watch on it, preferably a Rolex.

EDIT: just realized that im having problems with imageshack lately, so sorry for all the pics that dont load...hopefully itll be fixed shortly.
