    Red face Boy&Girl

    Hello everybody,
The following are two characters I`ve created for a new story of mine. What I would like to know is, How old do you think they both are? Thanks a lot.

You limit yourself to what you think you can do

You've got a real nice line quality D! But you really need to watch your proportions when it comes to the figure. Cover up the guys head and he might pass for a 15 year old olympic 100 yard dash runner (that's a strech, I know), but uncover his head and he looks like a freakish 10-12 year old kid. I don't want to be too critical here, D, but it's like you did the head separate from the torso, separate from the legs. They don't appear to be from the same body, and you lose your figure's sense of continuity. The girl is closer, but her proportions could use some adjustments as well. Do you realize her head is almost 2/3 of the width of her shoulders? What I'm sayin is the proportions of the parts don't coincide with one another. Each on they're own - Head, Torso, Lower body - could stand alone, but are having difficulty working together as a whole. That's just my opinion as a viewer, and fellow figurative artist. But like I said earlier, I really like the quality of your linework!!
