    Don't get discouraged!

    Hey DOZ3R,
No artist is ever truly happy with his/her work, that's what keeps us goin. You do have to learn to walk before you can run. Keep studying anatomy, especially George Bridgman. You have to create a solid underdrawing (Structure) to paint over. Profiles are hard to do, the image tends to look flat. Try a three-quarter view, which will help define the creatures anatomy.Good luck!

it does look a little flat, but actually kind of cool in a simple way, if you see what I mean.
I started studying anatomy a few months ago and it really helps.
    keep it up.

don't stop drawing if you are not satisfied with it! You say you only like the eyes. Then paint over things you don't like. Skin for example. look at pictures of reptiles or whatever and imitate the structure. Look closely.

Just don't stop drawing and say: Ah, well I can't do better. Then you won't improve much. I work on an image until I'm satisfied with it. Sometimes it's frustrating if it's taking too long, sometimes you don't see things that annoy you, and you just have the feeling that "something is wrong" but you don't know what. Sometimes you just ban a picture because you have the feeling there's no where to go with it...

Improve areas you don't like and maybe you end up with a fine picture
