Amazing. You're sketches always make me get up off my ass and draw. What pencile paper combination do you usually use again? Your sketches have this really awesome kind of aged look to them(good thing). Keep it up man.

Cool stuff man, reminds me of my own in some ways. Couple of questions: Are these drawn in moleskins? Are they done with mechanical pencils or regular pencils? And finally, what is the square root of 84, 989, 301?

If you've got a minute drop by and check my sketchbook. Hope to see you around. I'll be checking for that update. Peace.

Yesss! Awesomw work flex, I love that top sketch with the cutesy flowers then the repulsive corpse below with his genetials all over the place, I would go so far as to call it a stroke of genius! And the "little shithead" hits the nail on the head with nearly every kid in the mall with their parents...its a nauseating reminder of why dogs are great. Anyway, I cant wait to see more, Its fantastic that you're posting again!

    Hey Flex,
great job - always a big inspiration, man. Actually I am just writing tu hit you with the stars...
but while I'm already at it - i was wondering if you know the German artist Horst Janssen? I am admiring his work very much. I am asking because to me the atmosphere and these strange moods you create with your drawings and compositions remind me somehow of the work he was doing. Check him out! I think you would like it
This is a piece he did shortly before he died - called 'until death will unify you'

Strange subject matter, but that uniqueness mixes well with a strong artistic style that ends in great art. Way to go.

sorry for being slow on the updates. i ve been super busy with work, teaching, website stuff, commissions and general life stuff. plus i hate scanning. i have lots more from my bigger book but i'm too lazy to scan. i ll try to update every couple days from now on.

    inspired by anencephalic babies

here is a quick oil sketch. i've been painting alot these days. i'll post some larger works when i'm working on later.

cotron... thanks cody, i hope you can come to vegas with us.
Some_Guy... thanks dude, we need to hang out again.
dakoscwash... thanks most of my sketches are in moleskins, which have pages that are off-white. i like how the scans come out with an antiqued look. we should hang out sometime. i work at the plaza in fairfax so if you're there, ask if i'm working.
    AmadorL... ok dude.
StrangeAlchemist... yup, moleskins, .05 mech pencils, hb lead. i'll check out your sketchbook. thanks for stopping by.
    Климент... thanks
steak-tron... thanks kemp, i like drawing small, a smaller page is less intimdating to me for some reason. glad you like the spread eagle shot, i was thinking of you when i was drawing it.
    cburt... thanks dude.
Ink_Monkey... thanks, puddnhead is an influence along with alot of other artists on CA.
Jack Frost... thanks, we should hang out some time. i'll pm you my cell number. kekai has my tdome pic. its in the sf tdome thread.
Keepiru... thanks, things that i hate or really annoy me inspire me alot. also penises really inspire me too.
    maxetormer... thanks
liam.c... thanks dude, your sketch thread is hot.
JadeDragon... thanks alot, it means alot coming from a master like yourself.
brkofdon... thanks, i can oc anytime but i m online really late at night usually.
lewiston... thanks for the tip on horst janssen, his work is right up my alley.
    klinesmoker... thanks

Wow, nice update as usual. Anyway, that's so awesome that you work at that plaza place. I was justing going to go over there this weekend to pick up some much needed supplies. I'll ask if you're around when I'm there. You don't know how incredibly amazing it would be if you could show me a few things in person and hang out for a while. That is if you don't mind hanging out with someone who's barely 17. hah. Keep up the good work man.

Great stuff. The 3rd image down (horizontal one with the skullface guy and baby) is giving off a very Marko Djurdjevic vibe to me... which is always a good thing

You've definitely got a cool style going on here, keep up the good work!

Great stuff as always Flex. Cool and funny sketches nice designs and ideas. The lady head hunter is my favourite. I'd love to see her fully finished and other pieces too. Seems you have a thing for skull-headed characters - but that's why I love to come here.
