eggs in one basket?

I know that it is smart to apply to your 'dream school' and a afe school or several of them. I am not saying i doubt myself but of course the idea is still there

Anyway, i am applying to sva and i know it is intense but that is the only place i will be applying to. I former sva student when i spoke to her said that she only applied to one school and it wasn't such a big deal with her either. The only problem i have is, i really like the programs and facultly(well the ones i have met) and i foudn school that came close but not really. If i am not accept for the next fall and i just go to another school just to go....i would think that i would be going in with a bit of hostility like "i'm only here cause sva didn't want me" and that cannot be good...and i hope THAT goes away

But if i am not accepted i know that i can work on mor pieces and take courses cause my attack on sva admission would not be over...just gotta other questions like how many college bound or in school or former students applied to more then one or just one. I want to major in traditional animation and i really like what sva has and i think it would help me evolve as an artist. and words of wisdom are welcome

im a senoir in HS and im in the process applying to about 5+ art schools \=
i do have a single favorite choice, but i find good things in all of them.

i want to major in illustration or industrial design.

apply to several, it may give you more leverage. I was able to negotiate 8000 more dollars a year from one school by bringing up a scholarship which i was awarded by one of their competitors, which more than payed for the cost of the multiple apps.
