    Website update, loads o' covers!

Hey everyone, I finally got around to sending my reps a whole bunch of new (and not so new) stuff for their site, and they finally got around to getting it up on the server. Most of the pieces on the site were originally done for book covers, and they're all oil paintings. Here's a taste...

Mmmm...I really love the first one and the triplets. Tasty goodness! Thanks for updating us.

Not overly fond of the sparkles in that last piece though. I'm assuming that's for a kids book cover though? I suppose it might work for the genre, but...they stand out too much to me. I guess I would have preferred a more subtle indication of the magical nature of their equipment. Or at least something that blended better.

    These are beautiful!
But.. I noticed something very strange. The left (her right) hand of the middle 'triplet' is actually a right hand! I saw that on the big res and now I can even notice on the smaller version. Was that done on purpose?

No, it's just badly painted . (The leftmost "lump" is the thumb, next the knuckles of the index and middle fingers.)

    Hi,
congrats for your characters : they are wonderfully alive. Though I think some environnements (the triplets in blue, for ex ) look a bit unfinished, and in consequence, the empty space they create weaken the strength of the whole composition.

I absolutely love your work. Would love to see some tutorials / thought processes / how you reach this skill level, behind how you go about these fantastic pieces. If there are threads already in existence I apologise if not please spread the love.

Thanks to all for your comments. I haven't been posting much lately and won't be for anothe month or so because of a killer deadline. Draw, there's a thread where I go step by step through the creation of a cover, but I don't have the link.
