finally i've decided to put up a sketchbook...
here are a bunch of ideas i have for my own cartoon.
i've been inspired by invader zim, hellboy and funny cartoons i watch on adult swim (it's on cartoon network).

so i'm trying to come up with my own style.
i need to learn more things about light and shadows...
it seems to me i'm focusing on one light direction too much...
perhaps i should take pictures of myself with different light directions as reference...that should help..
well here, see for your self.



this character is the main character...i dunno what to call him yet...i was thinking of calling him "the gimp" like in the movie pulp fiction or i'll call him something else.


and here is an idea of a villian who practices the voodoo arts and takes over a zoo or something and makes all the animals in the exhibits go berserk...

still it is a WIP.
i don't know if this will become succesful or not...just gotta try and stay original as much as possible. please give me your best crits and comments.

thanks, i just kinda got into the hellraiser stories. i kinda like Clive Barker's stories and his game called "undying" i will soon have more drawings of the crow.

well, i'm back...i have been doing some oil painting...
i'm really getting the hang of it, suprisingly fast.
here is one of some sci-fi soldier....

and a few pictures of the same painting of the crow so you can get a few good looks at it...i just can't get a decent image when i don't have a scanner that is big enough.

...you may probably have the feeling if i'm slowly downgrading everyday...but not really...i'm kinda getting tired of this cartoon thing i'm doing..i might as well jump back to doing some more detailed and beautiful artwork. this may be my last cartoon piece...i'm not sure...

Some pretty cool stuff in here, I like the style of your toons.

However on some of the oil paintings and this most recent piece, you don't really have any consistent lighting - everything's the same brightness, there's no real depth there. The lack of obvious light and shadow is making everything seem pretty flat.
Look up some reference, choose a position for a single light in a scene to be coming from, and try to paint in the values to give the whole image more depth and form, I think this will improve your paintings greatly.

yeah i know, i mean if i try reall hard to make my drawings look more 3d, they end up looking waxy. still the zombie face thing is pretty good, right? is spent quite some time on it.

I'm digging stichface. i like the pose and everything. really nice job there. reminds of of the "marvel way" of drawing. that's actually a comment from me since i dig that book. i know some folks don't dig it around here but you say potatoe and i say potato

hahahah .... oh im sorry .. that was just waaay to funny. People plz give this person some crits , till now i only saw the "great ,looks awesome like always".... The pic of that girl that you gonna color in photoshop ? that sitting girl ... did you broke her leg on intention ???? her left feet seem pretty broken to me ...the way she got ler left arm ->her elbow should be facing the vieuwer ... she got this giant lower jaw... her boob seem to be growing out of her sholder... and the perspective isnt corect on this drawing either... you drew that thing she sits on like you watching it from above while the girl is drawn front vieuw... :s

if you want real comments, just say it. Cause i realy dont see how what people said here can help you grow as an artist.....

now that's a crit my freind, your really opened my eyes on that pic, i did not realize that that drawing of her was that messed up, a freind of mine even said the wings don't look like they are part of her, lol. so yeah thanks for the crit and i'll be more careful when i draw girls like that, LOL
