Peter: Thanks. The mountain was about 30-40 mins. I'm not too sure about the face though, as I was playing around with Photoshop brushes and kinda lost track of time a bit.

This one was about 40 minutes.

[EDIT - Updated. I played around with it for another 20 mins... :p]

One hour for a sewer environment - meant to do more with it but the figures don;t really turn out well. I'll probably use it for a study. Should be a monster in there too somewhere, lurking to grab the squad.

BTW. Ceenda: amazing sense of detail without painting it all in - impressive for 40 min! Wish i could do that ...

Erik: Hey, that's pretty neat. Perhaps some very faint hint of the legs under the surface of the sewage or some reflection might help the figures a bit. Otherwise, it's great.

    Hey Ceenda,

Man that figure you added is really cool! Flipped it over too i see ;-)

Yeah i see what you mean about the part below the surface but my problem was the surface emits light. Really got me in trouble with shadows etc... And my lines are not crisp enogh. But oh well. And thanx for the compliment!

[Edit : decided to put in some more time in the image. replaced version above - ok, now it's not completely speedpaint anymore ]

    jrr - very cool
wazzo - lively looking sketches, i like.
EssenmitSosse - very nice values on the robot.
ceenda - Great lighting on those, esp on the latter one. Very dramatic.

Rhomb: Great colour choice in the second one. I like the water-blended effect too. I'm always too lazy to use the blend tools. :p

wazzo: Hehe, the monk is standing behind the tree trunk in the ref. I should've added a bit more detail in there. :]

Hey Erik, I like it! Much more detail than mine, and good mix of colours too.

Vyle: These are great, especially the Victorian gent with the potion!

Pat: Lovely work. I just don't get how you manage such sharp edges with painter. I think you sent me the details for that brush but I kinda screwed it up.

Anyhoo, more lunchtime scriblings on a not-so-compliant Trust (tm) tablet:

Ceenda, that industrial dock one is great. Reminds me of a good book I'm reading now, The Light Ages by Ian MacLeod.

This thread has been rockin' in general, I might add.
