Munin Raven, those outdoors are the highlights of the last few pages of this thread and don't deserve all the silence imo. Are they painted outside because I see from your sketchbook you paint from photos as well but #5561 here doesn't look like it. Would these happen to be nearby where you live in England? They felt so even before I saw your location but I might be wrong.

SouMeng: Cheers. Yes, these square canvases were all plein-air paints around my local area (Shropshire, England). Sometimes I paint from reference photos and sometimes I'll make a start on location and then finish off later at home, if I feel my time would be better spent moving on the another subject.
Some Nintendo DS abstracts...

As per some great advice I got in my "The First Noise Marine" thread I am doing some speed-painting focusing specifically on not zooming in and over-detailing everything. I did this whole piece without zooming in or using any small brushes.

Here's a landscape study from a googled photo of a dessssssert. Delicious, barren, sandy, unedible dessert.
It's that time of year again, sunsets over the mountains on the drive home. Took about an hour to paint each.

The artwork in this whole thread is so cool. Seeing what you guys have done is giving me inspiration to try and do some myself.
I'm a nub, so this took about two hours, no way it should have, I had to do allot of revising, and yes it still needs a but load of polish. Please tell me whether you like it or not, I havent got any objective views on it, and I needs tha knowledge!

Her Scriar, I noticed that your mage's hands are a bit small, a goo rule of thumb is that you should be able to obscure most of your face wit your hand, if the base of the palm is on the chin, then the fingertips should be halfway up the brow.
That said, I like the composition.
