    Something about the posture of the head/eye placement doesn't make it seem to be bowing, just sort of crouched and ready to rise or turn toward the viewer.

    However, I love the lighting on the second image.

    pretty interesting anatomy on your jinn critter, might want to focus on your figure-ground relation a little more, sort of feels like he's not touching the ground in a few places... also to help with the bowing effect, might try having his head lowered more, and putting his knees on the ground. The purple skin and yellow glow look nice togeather btw.

    It looks as if he's about to pounce rather than bowing, other than that it's a pretty neat looking thing
