The nude figure one is pretty cool, the buildings look like they are made from ivory or something polish looking, maybe add wear and tear or just give it a bit of a textured feeling to them. The last pic of the woman looks like she's hurting in that pose, don't forget about weight distribution when drawing poses, other than that good job, seems you have only drawn the backside, maybe a front view next time, and keep posting, don't worry about not getting much comments right away, make alot of friends here and you'll be receiving decent amount of comments in your thread, cheers

Thanks for the comments dude, i appreciate it! All of these pics except the nude were done a couple of years ago, i only picked up a pencil again just the other day and the nude was the result... I personally think its a lot better than the rest.

I'm on 56k modem (yarg) so it's gonna take me a while to get around and check out everyone's stuff, but from what i've seen so far there is some serious talent in this place, VERY inspiring, makes me want to do better!

Here's a frontal sketch... i think you might be onto something with the weight distribution thing, same problem here...

Wow! Very nice. The first couple seem a bit blurry but not too bad. I like your moth oils to in your other thread. Keep it up!

Cool I like the frontal nude, only crit I have for it is to bump up the value more when you draw, and watch the proportion, the face looks really skewed so make sure everything lines up before rendering, other than that it's pretty cool, I would recommend that you just leave the scan normal, without the whole sepia thing, just to get a better clearity of how it would look in pencil, rather than a blurry effect. Just keep at it, and you'll get good.

Faces are my real weak point, i might just focus on that for a while.
I'm crap at drawing with anything darker than HB coz i just end up with smudge marks over everything.
I was waitin for someone to say "enough with the sepia already". The blurryness isn't caused by filters, its coz i don't have a scanner and have to take photos of em all instead. I kinda like the sepia, gives it a more classical feel, but i'll leave it off for the next couple of posts.

    Cool stuff man.
I like the environment in the first one, very creative, could use some aged or worn aspects, but very cool. the backside nude is very good, I like it. one thing I would suggest you practice and study on would be faces.; I'm not saying your not good, its just that because you obviously have talent, you should take advantage of it, and take it further. Keep it up for sure man.

It's too bad your using a digital camera, I know how that is, I've been using it alot for my celeb portraits lately, cause my scanner couldn't pick up all the details, or my lazy ass don't know how to set it up to get it to scan better. Save up some money and buy a scanner, a decent one will run you about 50 bucks and up.

I honestly thought i did! Amazing what a few words of encouragement (and a few rums) can do, thanks again guys.

Yeah, i really should, as is i can only photo my stuff using daylight as artificial light screws with the colours! Would make life a lot easier. Is there such a thing as a 2 into 1 USB port extension, coz i'm runnin out of ports and i'm too lazy to keep having to reach behind comp to swap plugs. Also, can you get scanners which scan A3? Whats a good DPI these days?

Alot of these are really nice but some of the non-human ones lack texture. Like your first two building things up top, they seem to smooth and the shading on them makes them seem rounded. Try going back and adding some rough texture or any texture to them.

Yeah, thats why i started the ship one, gonna try and really texture it, just wanted to make sure the proportions were right first...
