Dingy - dig it?
Sketches for the second of those 3 drawings i was talking about before! One of my other teachers suggested i change my layout to a front on view s i am gonna try that.
i think this shoes more promisse
some development on the previous sketch
got both of these approved today which is great!
i need a freaking new avatar!
The first drawing that even comes close to looking like my g/f!
Daily updates?! Alright! I'll be checking in to make sure you're not skipping one day, man!
The front view of that goblin-thingy or whatever it is is definitely the better one. But then, you already knew that. Eeeh, that's about as much useful (or not useful at all) stuff I had to say...
See you around!
Oh, and I dig your avatar. Why you need a new one?
I do need a new avatar Hai, this one is so boring. Need something with colour and pizzaz!
Thanks for dropping by.
Also this is for a class project for something called 'exquisite dolls'. apparently very popular with the kids these days!
One week down and 51 to go!
Hmm since most seem to think that this is not worthy of some comments just yet, i was thinking of starting to take requests? hhmmmmmm?

these may not look like much but i am very much hoping they will turn out to be some of the best, if not the best art i have done to date. it is based on a story that i created dear to me and the class project that allows us to do some concept art is the perfect opportunity to bring this to life.
chalk pastels for class of a ram's skull.
Wow! nice sketchbook man, i like your work with negative space in the last piece!! amazing! my traditional faces always suck![]()

Hey, hard worker you are! Like your B&W ink line drawings!! Anatomy is coming along nicely, as they say, practice makes perfect
Keep it up! & thx for dropping my my SB, always encouraging!
You shouldn't care too much about comments, you'r doing this for yourself to improve, right? That's how i think of it anyway.
The art is coming along nicely, love the pastel. Your lines could use a bit of improving so what i'd do is just to draw from life with an ink pen, without lifting the pen too much. Keep drawing man!![]()
These are the sketches that made me miss my train stop today!
I have today's development's on those concept drawings as well! Let me go find them for you!
jatherip you have nothing to worry about from what i saw on your sb. You got a serious foundation there and it will surely come as you work at it. I went there to give you some C&C but i think i will await until you have had a chance to work through Mr Smile's comments!
AlexTooththanks man glad you liked them. Anatomy is something that i definitely want a better hang of.
Imaginary it's true i shouldn't but there are som many great artists out there that give some awesome C&C and i dont want to miss that opportunity to grow, know what i mean?and continuous line drawing is one of my favourite techniques that i have not done in a long time. I'll take that as a request!

Coming along! Try and smooth out your rendering. Even quick sketching has its ways to look cleaner and more rendered in the same amount of time without having to make a lot of lines!
Refine :]
Good stuff here. Continue!

IanE i actually made a conscious effort to go for a particular style with those sketches but i have been told in the past, similar things to what you mentioned so i will try to show that i can do both in future posts. Hopefully! Thanks man!
Layout of mine for current illustration. My teacher is the one who did the rendering though to show me the possibilities of turning a good layout into a great illustration!
More progress on those concept sketches. Next week it will be the perspective.![]()
Inked up one of the concept drawings before going at it with markers later this week sometime!
Had to show that we learnt our stuff in illustrator. And since i know later we have to do our diorama pick again i thought i'd kill 2 birdds with one stone. Not much of a stone because after 12 hrs plus i still have not been able to finish this!
Voraz, thanks for always dropping by man! And will do!
Bought some new paper! wanted to try it out!
trying to do some ink wash. Practicing in sketchbook that i have to hand in at the end of term 2. Also thinking about doing it for both a present for my brother-in-law and his g/f of their little son (who is the one i was practicing with, from photos) and for an up-coming assignment.
whew! cutting it close today
ok a VERY week spot of mine is colour so if anyone can pick themselves off the floor after seeing this for long enough for some C&C i would love it!I did it with markers and i am willing to start again but i just need some help!

Man i absolutely butchered this sunset boat watercolour. It was freaking nerve racking and went completely south, but amazingly enough i had some sort of fun!
The rest are also projects i will speak of more as i finish them!
Trying to salvage it
which one do youuys like the best? The bottom one is after mucking around in levels.
nice commitment. keep rocking
This is how the finished piece ended up looking even though it was not really finished. The printer at school prints things really dark and i actually liked it better that way. Anyone know how to replicate that on this without using levels ( cause levels does not actually do what i the printer did!).
just some ape sketches. everyone likes apes including me!![]()
